Out of our current roster of 30, there are 22 members that are either real life friends / family or have been online friends that have played various video games together for between 3 and 8 years.

The vast majority of our guild is either in their mid-20’s or 30’s, and as such, we tend to swear on Vent / Mumble (which we will setup prior to launch), or in guild chat. Racial slurs are not acceptable.

We have all raided, and many of us led raids, over the course of our time in World of Warcraft (most of us quit prior to, or soon after Cataclysm came out). However, we’re looking to explore SWTOR, and not necessarily rush to level 50. Once we have enough members at 50 that want to raid, we will be setting up scheduled raids.

There is a group of 5-8 of us that originally wanted to roll on a PvP server, but will, instead, be running around perma-flagged for PvP so that everyone can play together. If you have any friends that want to play on a PvE server, but you really want to roll on a PvP server (or vice-versa) this might be a good solution for you.

We are currently accepting any member that would like to join for a shot at the guild invitation beta. As for prospective members for release, we are currently a little heavy on members who say that they want to play Sith Warriors, but realistically we will give any applicant a fair shake to see if they fit in with our group. Basicaly we are a group of friends who has played together in several MMOs for some years. As so, we are used to work as a team and get the job done!
Although we are completely addicted to SW lore we think that RP isnt for us. Nevertheless we want to have a strong a fast progression in terms of PvE end-game.

What makes us different from most of the guilds?
Our raid times mostly (afterall we didnt start with the progression yet ^^), since most of us are from Portugal and UK we dont use the CEST times, which means that we will be using GMT times. Meaning that for most of the people arround Europe we will be a late hour raid guild.

We might have optional raids on Saturday and Tuesday for the sake of our progress, also, it is important to mention that, ocasionaly we might extend the raids that are having a excelente progress, those extentions can be from half hour to one hour.

Some of us have played wow for 6 years, doing all the content, starting from the old vanilla raids at lvl60 passing through all the HC modes in WOTLK and some in CATA. We quited WoW before Firelands and we moved to Rift, which we will be glad to leave behind as soon as SWtOR goes live.

About Council of Light

Council of Light is a late hour raid guild for mature players. Even if we are ambitious in terms of progression we also realise that most of the late night players are at least 18 years old, due to that they have real life issues to contend with, thats why we raid this late. Also, since we are PvE guild we need some rules to organize ourselves:

1- PvP over PvE is a no. We are here to do PvE.

2- You are expected to stop whatever you are doing as soon as the Raidleader ask you to help out in the raid.

3- No whining, you will probably be benched once in a while, just dont turn emo mode on.

4- If you are reserve, we expect you to show up on raidinvite.

5- We know that for some people starting to raid at 22h CEST is a bit late however we are a late hour raid guild dont expect that we change our raid times because of you.

6- Council of Light will use the DKP system to award its players.

We raid when we can and play together as much as possible.

You can play what ever class you want, we all adjust to each other to make our experiences together fun because that is why we play.

* Be an exceptional player regardless of class, able to understand fights quickly, avoid any kind of raid damage easily, give feedback on boss tactics and quickly gather information required to maximize your own, and the raid's, performance on a certain fight.
* Be an exceptional player, able to play all specs of your class at the same high level (having a small player base we respec a lot to fill the needs of certain fights; you are expected to be ready to play any of your class's specs).

Things that may help your application:

* Dedication - activity we expect 90%+ attendance, especially on new content, most of us take time off work/school to level and do new instances.
* Fast reactions and being able to keep yourself alive, while doing your job at the same time.
* High end raiding experience (Pre-TBC content, pre 3.0 Sunwell, experience with progression raiding).
* In the case of rerollers, make sure to give us information about your previous character.
* Effort in writing your application. Applications with a couple of lines will simply be declined right away, if you can’t write a decent well thought out application, don’t bother applying.

Exiled Force is just that: A force to be reckoned with. We are a highly motivated PvP driven guild

Our leadership history dates all the way back to the

History
The core of Paradise Oblivion members were derived from a Tribes 2 team called {O N E} in 2002 created by Aratharn, which was ranked #1 for Capture The Flag on the competition ladder www dot teamwarfare dot com (one dot clancentral dot us/images/Ara/ONErung1.gif). The name Paradise Oblivion was thought up by HyTeK in 2002 for the name of one of the Tribes 2 servers we owned. {O N E} rose to the top of the competition ladder by following some basic rules:

• Always work as "one" team (our team was able to adapt and overcome any situation)
• Respect your teammates (no single person was bigger or better than the team)
• Respect your opponents (no matter how immature, good, or bad they are, we will remain focused to the task at hand: being the best, and our opponents are just making us learn how to get there)

These base rules were enforced on every member of our team, and were guidelines for any new recruit looking to join our team. Not only did this lead to our success competitively in Tribes 2, but allowed our team to succeed in other games that we played as well.

Final Fantasy XI was the next saga in our members history, where the members made a very successful LinkShell named Paradise Oblivion on the Midgardsormr server. Paradise Oblivion was one of the first to destroy Vrtra, and many other accomplishments that made them one of the best LinkShells among all servers. Now Paradise Oblivion are slowly rebuilding to reclaim their rank in Final Fantasy XIV as the best LinkShell on all servers.

Shred of Honor is looking for anyone and everyone who wants to raid competitively on a less demanding schedule. My name is Targann and I work 2nd shift and cannot make most raid times. I decided to start this guild for the people in my position as well as anyone who just wants to raid at a later time. The raids will ideally start from 12:30 am and end sometime around 3 or 4.
