We are currently ranked as the #1 weekend raiding guild for WoW in 10s. We have been around since late 2008 when we formed off Proudmoore. Many of our members have been here since then and will be coming with us to SW:TOR as well when its released.

We raid from 7-11 PM PST on Friday and Saturday and will start raiding in SW:TOR approx one month after the game has been released. We are a mature, no non-sense guild. We strive to be the best, and we will continue that in SW:TOR.

We are The Watchers In The Dark a cross game guild. We have been around for roughly 2 years now as a stable core of friends who met ingame (WoW). We play and raid in a serious but casual manner.

Age wise we're an over 18's guild, many of us in our late 20's early 30's+ ( some more than others! ) that values fair play and having a giggle alongside trying out all the content we can along the way. We believe in being prepared but above we know its just a game and can giggle when we get it wrong.

Raid wise we will be running 3 nights a week - Tues / Thurs / Sunday from 20.00 - 00.00 UK time. Ideally if you are wanting to raid with us once we get to endgame we would like at least 75% attendance. I stress though that you will not be penalised for not being able to attend - we all have wives / jobs / kids so appreciate that real life sometimes has to come first.

What can we offer - well a stable home that's fun ( we have mostly been playing together for well over 2 years and we still kinda like each other :P ) A supportive atmosphere. No stress. A slightly odd sense of humour. Steady progression. People that wont mind if you take a 5 min break mid raid cause your childs woke up! And if it all goes wrong we have Dave - officer and regular excuse reason for everything... even if he wasnt there.

What we can't offer - hardcore / zerg the face off content / progress at breakneck speed raiding.

What we need from you - commitment, loyalty, a good sense of humour to name but a few....

How big will this guild be when the game releases?

Group sizes in SW:TOR are smaller than in other games. Flashpoints are for 4 players while Operations are for 8 to 16 players. As such smaller, tight-knit guilds pose viable alternatives for endgame progression. Given this option, we will maintain a talented, selective playerbase where community and achievement can thrive.

What are this guild's objectives?

Space Blasters expects to be a top competitor in both PvP and PvE situations. We will have teams dedicated to both pursuits and experienced leadership to help them succeed.

What classes and alignments are allowed?

As of now we are accepting applications from all classes. We are not a roleplaying guild, so alignment is up to the player. Specific class recruitment will open and close as we acquire more members.

Is there a minimum age requirement to join?

Save for rare and specific exceptions, we only consider applicants that are eighteen years and older. We are a mature guild with several older members.

You said you are recruiting officers. What does that mean?

Experienced applicants who exhibit initiative will be considered for officer positions. Officers will act as a major form of leadership and support within the guild, assisting with raiding, PvP, recruitment and administrative duties. Those looking for a position of greater influence and respect as well as responsibility will consider this opportunity.

What timezone will this guild operate in? Is this an international guild?

Space Blasters will be based out of the EST timezone. However, we will accept applications from all regions and countries. As long as our schedules and languages are compatible, where a member is from will not be a restriction.

Is voice chat required?

Yes. Voice communication is essential to an efficient guild. We have a dedicated Ventrilo server for release and a microphone is highly recommended. Voice chatting with guildmates is not only fun, it's necessary for organization.

Anything else?

Although this is a relatively new group, we are dead set on being a very competitive, progressive guild. Come release we will be ready to make our mark on the game - ready to succeed and have a good time with a competent, experienced community.

Holy Order of the Force is a newly formed EU (English) PvP guild. Currently we're still weak in numbers (3 at the moment of writing), but we're slowly growing. However, we don't want to over-expand, therefore we're setting a cap number of players somewhere in between 25-35, after that joining will be by invitation only (if you have a friend joining the game, he/she can join if you invite him – no restriction from leaders). We don't want to be elitist guild, just a bunch of people having fun playing together. We will be casual and won't force play hours on our players. Officers are role models for the new and younger members of the guild. Officers should act as we would like all Guild Members to act.

Abuse of the officers’ powers is not permitted. If you feel an officer is abusing their power, please inform the Grand Master.

To be promoted to the rank of High Council you must be nominated by an Officer and then seconded by another Officer. This will initiate a vote, with the final decision to be made by the Grand master.


Communication
The main means of communicating with each other is the forum. All Members of the guild are required to check the forums at least twice a week. Use them to tell the rest about your game experiences, to post screenshots, to form a party to do instances, to plan raids, etc. and to check for news from the Guild Master, Officers, or others. We expect our members to adhere to the forum rules. Any members not adhering to the forum/guild rules are subject to guild kick without prior notice.

We use Ventrilo so we can talk with other guild members while in game. This speeds up playing and increases the success of partying. To use Ventrilo you need a headset with a decent microphone and the Ventrilo client which can be downloaded at ventrilo. com The info for the Ventrilo server will be given to you in game.

Guidelines / Behavior
It is expected that all members of the Guild treat each other with respect.

Continuous use of so-called ‘leet-speak’ or foreign languages is not encouraged, try to use (standard) English in the guild channel. Bad language is tolerated, but if taken to excess or if members complain about it, the offender will be asked to moderate their language. Continued excessive swearing can ultimately lead to disciplinary action. Also bear in mind that our members come from different backgrounds and all age’s races and sexes.

Cooperation is something we pride ourselves on. We wish this tradition to continue. It is not expected higher-level characters give up too much time to help out the lower level characters; however, help is always appreciated and reciprocated.

Our Guild Philosophy
We have always held ourselves to high standards of acceptance and openness with the membership. We don't tolerate trolling or aggressive elitist attitudes. We prefer to maintain an environment where people feel comfortable being who they are and use the guild to build friendships with those that they play with. We are all going to be spending hours together, might as well enjoy each other wouldn't you say?

We extend this attitude to the core features of our guild. We approach raiding by having an environment that people can be comfortable in, remain focused, and drive for a common goal. Wipes and mistakes happen. We expect our members to recognize what happened or at least ask for feedback from others. We fix what happened and move on and enjoy playing the game. You never have to worry about getting yelled at or embarrassed. We all screw up. All of us.

The other benefit to our raiding setup is we have a relatively light casual schedule. Our experience has been you don't need to raid 5 or 6 hours a day for 4 days a week. If the group is focused, enjoying themselves, and playing well together you can have an extremely efficient and effective raid team. So if you are looking for a hardcore environment, that isn't us. We've paid our dues with those guilds and don't find that format enjoyable at all. Our previous raid team raided on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday from 7:00PM to 10:00PM central time in WOW, and we will likely maintain a similar schedule in TOR.

In addition to raiding, you can expect a dose of PVP and RP as well. Some of us a completely lore geeks and have a passion for the story lines BioWare has put out. Those of us who loved KOTOR and Dragon Age and very much excited to the RP content with our companions in game.

Who We Look For

We look for someone that is focused and mature (over 18 as well if you please). We have maintained an environment of inclusion and respect for all members regardless of their background or in game experience. The Founding

Among the Shadows was founded by two gamers and friends with the intent of creating a guild that appeals to the average person. These two gamers are known as Ahti and Ohnoto who met and raided in World of Warcraft, and are also very avid Star Wars fans. Ohnoto and Ahti both have families and children of their own that they care to in addition to enjoying online games.

Members

We are looking for members that simply want to have fun with the game. We plan to have events that revolve around every aspect of the game. While leveling, we will be organizing group flashpoint runs and are looking for members that would be interested in participating in those.

We understand that there are forces outside the game that require attention, and while we are very active gamers ourselves, we know that not everyone is. If you are a casual gamer, we will accept you. If you are a gamer that spends every evening playing the game (Like I do ), we will accept you.

Events

Our raids and guild events are planned to be around 8pm EST / 5pm PST, however days are still undecided and will be at a later date as the game closes in on a release date.

Our raids are conducted in a casual atmosphere in that when we do raid, we know and expect wipes to happen. When these wipes do happen, we will figure out what the problem is and adjust the strategy without placing blame on anyone. A raid works as a team and placing blame on others does not help out the team. We want raiding to be fun for everyone involved.

We do expect members to be prepared for raids with all items needed, be on time, etc. Basically, if you sign up for a raid or other guild event, we expect that member to be there. After all, the guild team is built and depending on your attendance. Now if something comes up, just let an officer know in advance so that preparations can be made to fill in your absence.

Is this the guild for me?

We would like perspective members to consider the following as criteria for being a member in Among the Shadows.

Do you want to:
- Having fun leveling at my own pace.
- Doing instances and content with the guild.
- Participating with guild members for PvP.
- Chatting with others in guild chat and on Vent.
- Light RP, not done in guild chat.

In regards to RP, not everyone in the guild is into RP. I personally am not, but Ahti does enjoy it. We will not hinder anyone from participating in doing RP and we do support RP players. The only condition we have regarding RP players is that guild chat is not open to RP to respect those that do not wish to participate in RP. If there are several RP players in the guild, what we will do is set up a custom guild chat channel for those to participate in RP with each other.

If these are things that sound like the type of player you are, we would like to have you join our guild, our community.

About Us:
Army of the Republic takes pride in being a high-end raiding guild with an accessible schedule. Our focus is to achieve a high level of play while still allowing our members the time to participate in things other than raiding such as pvp and questing/profession leveing. Although we may not raid as often we still strive to compete when it comes to progression. In order to achieve this goal we must hold our members to a high standard. Inconnu is mostly compromised of locals to the North West, mainly along the I-5 Corridor, ranging from Salem Oregon, up to Seattle, WA. Though we have been branching out. Inconnu is a semi-hard core guild, that intends to have various groups focused on different aspects of the game. There will be at least 1 more hard core end game 'raiding' group, and possibly more if the interest is there.

We are an adult guild, we are unlikely to accept members under the age of 18, and strive to have a group of players that are intelligent, and capable, and able to deal with things as adults. We try and have as little drama as possible, and our guild structure is based more around a guild of equals with a few 'officers' that help guide and help, more than direct and order.

Overview:
Decretum is an English-speaking guild mainly comprised of ex-SWG players; we are looking to recruit active members for the guild to create a fun and stable gaming community in TOR.

What we expect from you:
• A friendly attitude towards guildmates and the rest of the server
• To be active in-game for at least 10 hours a week
• To participate in some if not all of the events set up by the officers (Flashpoints/PVP/Operations)

Philosophy:

Our guild is based on the iron-clad community of SWG, which is and always has been about helping others, while this means that you may have to take time out to help another player, you will also be helped in return, this will ensure that a fun and stable atmosphere is maintained at all times, this is because a game is meant to be enjoyed, not to get frustrated over.

Communication:
This will be done in two ways. Firstly by regular updates on the guild page on swtor.com (and we will look into a stand-alone guild website when we get more players), and secondly through the guild Ventrilo server, which will hopefully be active throughout the day, whether we are levelling, in a PvP zone, or in a flashpoint/operation.

Hierarchy:
Names are just placeholders; they will probably change to something more “Star Wars-y”.

[Guild Leader]: Leader of the guild, with the help of the officers and veterans will sort out recruitment, internal affairs and other duties based within the guild.
[Officer]: Second in command, will deal with any issues while the GM is offline, will also have additional responsibilities, (tactics, helping new recruits etc).
[Veteran]: Loyal member of the guild, will show insight and help others in the guild and participate in most if not all of the guild events.
[Member]: Semi-new member in the guild. Has passed trial rank and participates in a fair few of the guild events.
[Trial]: New member in the guild, lasts 2 weeks, has to show that they understand and agree with the expectations of the guild and get along with the in-game community.
