Oh nose, why does my dps suck?

I usually play a ret pally, but my guild wants me to play my alt healing priest as shadow to cheese the crystals on heroic baleroc. I've reforged, regemmed, and picked up some BoE gear for shadow spec, and read everything i can find on the matter. After a few hours of practice on target dummies, im still holding about 13k dps. Are there any common mistakes or tips you guys can give me to get that to something acceptable? Is that acceptable for my current gear?

Reforge as much of that crit and mastery to Haste as possible. You also dont need so much spirit. Get rid of the spirit trink and replace with Soul Casket. Replace your spirit belt with the Dreamless Belt.
Replace your staff with a caster staff as well.

Replacing his belt is a downgrade....... Keep the belt you have but try to reforge all of that crit to haste, and when you're done with that reforge you're spirit/haste gear out of spirit into mastery. Also log your DPS on a dummy so we can review it.

Get 17% hit or as close as possible without going over.
Work on your shoulder enchant.
In my opinion, +65 mastery to gloves is something that should be used at higher gear level. Change it to haste.
Right now you're still using 2 pieces of healing tier and a healing trinket. Your DPS IS going to be a little less than what it "should" be.

Don't expect to do anything magical on a test dummy and don't get down and out if your DPS on a dummy or in a heroic is less than desired. A WoL report from dummy dps would be great though.

alright. I fiddled with reforging and gems a bit more, and SS'd my skada after some work on a dummy. I understand that I shouldn't expect sick numbers with the healing gear I have, but 13k just seems SO awful. Thanks again for your help everyone.

Shadow priests don't tend to pull much DPS on dummies unbuffed, especially without DI (Not sure if you're going to be getting DI in your raid). You're VT damage looks a little low but if you could WoL you're DPS on a dummy it would be much more helpful. You'll also want to deal with the crit on your first ring.

I will not be getting DI, bringing 3 shadow priests and 2 locks, the other priests are much more geared than me.

The goal is to be able to pull 22k raid buffed on bale, while soaking every third crystal.

Unless you plan on getting more gear before the raid, I'd say this is very unlikely especially without DI. You're going to have to perfect the rotation and not let your DoTs fall off during your dispersions if it's even possible. If you're able to post a WoL, we can help you out further from there.

You have 2 low spikes in your log, both 8.4. I assume you're letting DoTs fall off, keep VT/DP uptime at 99%+ if you can (VT is the one you need to work on, you can still improve on DP but it's not as crucial). Also you're short 2-3 Mind Blasts for the duration of the log, MB on CD when your last MB refreshed ES, don't wait for shadow orbs until the mind blast after that when you're going to need to refresh ES.

To improve your reforging, reforge you're second ring from crit to spirit and your bracers from spirit to mastery.

another log. Dps up a little bit i think, and I did better on uptime. Still needs a lot of fine tuning though.

13k on Target dummies, without any raid buffs, nor flask or food is good, not excellent, but good. Also, I would definately do the Thrall Firelands quest line for the cloak.

Try simulating your character. SimulationCraft patchwerk fight gives a pretty acccurate number on Baleroc, at least according to my personal experience. The number you get in SimulationCraft is what you should be able to do on the fight, give or take 500 DPS.
