It was confirmed in an interview with the game director:

"X and Y will include all Pokemon from all previous games, offering the largest selection of Pokemon in any of the series' titles."

There will still be version exclusives and won't include (all) legendaries / event pokemon.

Starters are still up in the air, right now you can only choose one gen 1 starter. Nobody knows about the other gens.

I both anticipate and fear what Mega-Feraligatr would look like. Feraligatr is my favourite Pokemon, and I'd love to see an awesome Mega for it, but I'm also terrified that they might ruin it.

well Feraligatr can only be ruined if the original is changed. you can always have the Pokemon use a stat item instead ^^

The text says Mega Lizardon X.

Its from the Mega Charizard X announcement so people are calling it out as a fake.

Most pokemon look more fitting as males rather than females, but Chestnaught looks like it should only be male and Delphox looks like it should only be female.

This is incorrect. It's a Riolu with a lucarionite stone that will make it mega evolve once it becomes Lucario.
