I couldn't find the thread. Well I was going to say you could tell them the store and location if it was close to you and tell them they broke the street date early and such. Well maybe you have a chance of getting it early then if that is the case.

Not sure how Id feel about shines being more common suddenly. I mean, whats the point of a shiny then? Just a different color? Part of the prestige of having a shiny, at least to me, is the fact that they are rare. Its something to work for other then ev/iv/breeds.

I agree but i'm not panicking yet. All the leakers managed to beat the game without finding a single shiny. We've seen like what, ~6 shinies or something so far? out of all the god knows how many people got the game early?

There is an entire subreddit for shiny pokemon, and it you used that as a litmus test for shiny rareness you would think they were common as zubats in caves. Statistically speaking it isn't odd for a few dozen shinies to pop with this many people getting the game early.
