Well, the movies are non canon, so the story line doesn't add up with the manga and anime.


What exactly is it that you dont think make sense? Is it the Ki blasting, dying, reviving, exploding planets or the stupidity from some characters?

Like I said it isnt consistant with itself.

Goku can't instant transmission to new namek during Buu saga, even though he did it earlier to get Dende

Hyperbolic Time Chamber 10x Gravity, Goku trained there as a kid, yet he's surprised when he goes to King Kai's planet which is 10x gravity and has trouble even standing up, despite him being multiple times stronger than he was as a child.

Android 18 in the World Tournament having trouble fighting the 2 normal saiyen trunks/goten even though she is far more powerful than Vegeta was as a basic super saiyan originally.

Cell/Frieza in other world, Cell being the most powerful being in the universe only just beaten by SS2 Gohan has suddenly become a buffoon easily dispatched by Pikon, nevermind that Goku was able to fight with him pretty well without going super saiyan, the same Goku that didnt stand a chance against Cell just 10 minutes ago as a super saiyan.

King Cold/Frieza coming to earth, despite King Cold being only in form 2 and the series constantly telling you that Freiza is the strongest, the Z fighters say that they notice there is someone even stronger than Frieza coming with him.

Kid Buu - Apparently he's the strongest, yet Goku can fight him as SS2 and is able to hold his own as SS3, though against Fat Buu he wasnt sure if he could win. Goku said that Gotenks SS3 was much stronger than he was, and Gohan is much more powerful again, yet Super Buu after he absorbed Gotenks was stronger than Gohan and later when he absorbed Gohan he was again much more powerful. Gohan was also clearly much more powerful than Goku. It all points to Kid Buu not possibly being as strong as Super Buu and only a bit stronger than fat Buu.

Other World Tournament - Rules are you can't die because you're already dead so no worries. During Buu Saga Goku keeps reminding dead Vegeta that he can't die again or he will be gone forever. So suddenly just magically appear with some new rules?


During Kid Buu - Vegeta fights Kid Buu as a normal Saiyan and gets owned, what happened to becoming Super Saiyan 1/2? Made no sense.


Whole series - You only get to keep your body if you're a super hero who saves the world, yet all of the bad guys get to keep their bodies in hell, appart from Vegeta, King Yama had to "retrieve" his body to give it back to him to try to help the world in the Buu saga.


You really could go on all night, the worst one is trivliasing all that came before whatever you're currently watching, Goku spent his whole life doing crazy training and yet Goten and Trunks have apparently popped out of the womb with far more power than Goku had for the majority of his life. Battle hardened Vegeta in the Saiyan saga or Frieza would not be able to beat normal state 6-7 year old trunks/goten in a fight based on how well they fought android 18.

all of those are true, but some can be explained

Nameks can eat for the hell of it.

Goku did not last very long on his first trip to the time chamber, and only the field after the chamber doors had the gravity effect.

android 18 was likely caught off guard.

Goku got a zen kai, Cell was not at full power, he did not have an aura. Pikkon is amazingly powerful.

the z fighters had little to no knowledge of anyone stronger then freiza prior to cold. Freiza himself constantly said he was the strongest. purely out of ego

I dont think it was ever said Kid buu was the strongest buu, Maybe the strongest in the buuvolutions that did not involve absorption.

You cant die in other world, but obliterated out of existence by super natural creatures like buu, a whole nother story.



as for the bodies. Those episodes and the other world tournament were filler episodes. Not apart of the main story line or considered cannon.

as for the saiyans breathing in space. I simply assume its something they can do temporarily, but not for long periods of time. Unless you are broly i dont think the legendary form requires air to exist.

Instant transmission. Goku had been fighting Buu for hours. First as a Super Saiyan 3, then as Vegito, then he went inside Buu, then he fought Kid Buu. Instant transmission is based on his own energy. No surprise that the gas tank was low.

As Genn said, the gravity is only x10 past the entrance area.

The kids were tough. 18 Was likely holding back initially, as she didn't realize she was fighting anything special and didn't want to punch a hole through her opponent. By the time they went Super Saiyan, I think it's no stretch to say that they were stronger than Vegeta when he first became a Super Saiyan. They were controlling the form easily, and weren't overcome by rage when using it. That means they were in the Full Power Super Saiyan state, not the much weaker Super Saiyan 1. They were likely on par with, or stronger than Goku when he fought Cell. If they had more fighting experience they probably would have beaten 18 easily.

Zenkai OP. Goku got something like 30 times stronger by getting beat up by Captain Ginyu. Getting beat up by Cell and then blown up probably made him a lot stronger, like at least 100 times.

Frieza is the only one that said he was the strongest in the universe. He's an egotistical butt. King Kai hyped him up a bit, but he's also a moron, especially for an all seeing god.

You're exactly right about Kid Buu. Super Buu was the strongest. Old Kai saying that the absorptions weakened him is a mistranslation, in the manga and the Japanese dub of the anime the word used was calmed. And Kid Buu was undeniably bat shit crazy.

From what I've seen, it takes a lot to destroy someone's soul. The tournament people probably weren't worried about it, and they may not have even been aware that such as thing was possible. These are the same people that thought the Grand Kai was the strongest being to ever exist.

He fights Kid Buu as a Super Saiyan. There's a few times when he's not, but he probably lacks the energy to transform at that point. Like Goku, he was running out of steam. The better question is why didn't they just have Kibito Kai get Gohan and have him roflstomp Kid Buu. "Dragon, I wish for Gohan to rape his shit off!"

The best I could offer for the whole keeping your body thing is my own theory. It seems that in DBZ, there are 3 places you can go when you die. Heaven, hell, and to one of the Kai worlds for more training. It seems like you keep your body if you go to hell or to a Kai world. You lose your body if you go to heaven, becoming this ghost like creature with no legs. It seems there is a certain amount of power needed to keep your body, as many normal people entering the check in station already have no body. Vegeta probably went to heaven. He was a dick, and did lots of bad stuff, but he also saved the day a few times, and he did die in a noble way. Not good enough to hang with the other heroes, but not bad enough to be condemned.
