I made my gf watch the whole series, she actually likes it and enjoyed Frieza the most, she had a hard time accepting the changes after large time skips like into buu saga

In latest "Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W" episode, there's Great Monkey Alaozaru, who looks exactly like Oozaru! He even goes super sayian at some point
