hi i was thinking of getting a ATI hd 6970 but am unsure if it will work with my dell xps 8100 not only software and hardware wise but if it will physically fit in the unit
i have a I7 860 2.8ghz
8g ram
1tb Hdd
ATI hd 5770
350 w power supply
win 7 64

It is possible you would like to consider a new power supply with that card. outside of that no issues. Remember to uninstall the drivers then reinstall for no hiccups.

Yea you definitely don't want to put a 6970 in there without upgrading the psu lol.
It should fit, looks like a standard mid tower case.
