So how does it look? I have a strict $1500 budget and this lot comes in at exactly $1500. Everything is from newegg.

I had to stick with a bronze rated non modular power supply and a p67 board over a z68 board in order to come under budget but I think these 2 will do just fine since im not using SRT or video editing.

My main question is the graphics card. After reading so many posts and so many different forums I have come down to 2 brands.

Many people say EVGA have better parts but say it runs hot. Just as many people say the twin frozer cooler on MSI is the best on the market and is the way to go. I am definitely decided on getting a GTX 580 OC version from one of the company's and I would just like your opinion. And just to be sure 750w is enough for a single 580 and a 580 in SLI in case I want a 2nd down the road right?

    or

or if you have another highly recommended please say so.

Thank you for your time and input.

As for which both brands are great but personally i'd go for the MSI as i really like the design

No reason to get OC'd versions. They just cost more for no reason, since you can easily just overclock it yourself.

Your powersupply is fine, but I'm less certain on SLI GTX 580 in the future. You may want to replace the PSU when that time comes, but you're also just as likely to plain replace the graphics card instead for a new one...

EVGA apparently offer lifetime warranty, while MSI have the better cooler. You just pick which of those two ideas you like the best tbf though. Neither card is going to run too hot unless something is thermally wrong with your computer.

There will be nothing themally wrong with my case, ive just read the EVGA runs like 20 degrees hotter then MSI thats all. But as you said both look like good cards.
