New Phillip 1080P LDC 240 issues when it comes to connecting to 360.

So simple thing. Got a 60'' Phillips 1080P LCD 240 TV the other day. Well I plug in the cords for audio and video just like normal and go to Component 2 to play and I got video but no audio..I have the coords in the right color coded crap and everything...is there something Im missing here..? Probably just missing something sall and im gonna feel like an idiot when I get told what it is but if you got any USEFUL advice..please help.

Pretty impossible to diagnose this kind of thing over the internet.

Did you use the component cables with your old tv and they worked? Have you tried multiple port sets on the TV in question? Do you have another device, eg a dvd player, which works fine in those ports?

Can you just use an HDMI cable?
