I really don't mean to be rude, but the answer is in the text you just posted. Just take 30 seconds to look at it yourself and you will see.

    No.

You want a socket 1155 motherboard. (P67 or Z68 chipset)
    Otherwise, perfect.

The CPU/Motherboard won't work with each others.

You'll either want to change the CPU for a socket 1156 CPU, or change the motherboard for a socket 1155 one.

As far as i see the cpu and mobo are different sockets, so if its true they wont fit

    I thought 1155 and 1156 were interchangeable.

They look the same, and the heatsink mount is same, but the socket itself is different.

    Heatsinks are interchangeable, CPU/motherboard not.

I would suggest not doing that, and changing the motherboard to 1155. The 1156 is not supported anymore, and the 2600k is top of the line CPU right now.

Agreed. Keep the 2600k and switch the motherboard for a P67/Z68 board. I would suggest the ASUS P8Z68-V.

does the asus motherboard you suggested have a spot to plug in a internet plug?

Every modern motherboard has ethernet built-in, so yes.
