Starting to dig Defiance since I've watched Rockne O'Bannon's work thru Farscape.
List of shows I watch when they're on, in no particular order:
Game of Thrones
Californication (really really needs to end, Hanks schtick is simply tired at this point)
Girls (eh, not bad, not great)
Veep (quite funny)
House of Cards
Sons of Anarchy (decent, but starting to get more annoying than entertaining)
House of Lies (so-so)
Breaking Bad
Spartacus
The Wire (not on any longer of course, but we're watching it via Netflix discs.. amazingly good)
Magic City
True Blood
Shows I started watching, stopped for various reasons, and may catch up on if I get bored:
Dexter (got very tired of his narration)
Nurse Jackie (got very tired of watching folks put up with her shit)
Hell on Wheels (watched S1, liked it, need to catch up)
Shows that are on my 'to see' list:
Vikings
Mad Men
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Firefly
Walking Dead

Well. Whats your favorite TV series. Mine would have to be: Family guy, Sons of Anarchy, Pawn stars, Big bang theory, Two and a half men (With Charlie Sheen). Curious to know whats hot for people
There is no competition for Breaking Bad imo. Dexter is next in line and is also very good but I just love BB too much.
Currently the Walking Dead followed by Game of Thrones
TJ, I can't believe i forgot Breaking Bad. It's such an amazing program.
Used to be really close between The Walking Dead and Dexter, but after last season of Walking dead Dexter is by far my favorite now. Followed closely by breaking bad, 1 year mid season break is stupid as fuck though.

1. Sherlock (BBC). I love this show and I can't wait for it to come back in November.
2. Doctor Who reboot. Got into it a while back, caught up to season 7 just in time for last night's finale and I'm hooked.
3. A Game of Thrones.

I could probably list 20-30 shows that I like, but these are the top 5 that are still airing.
1. Full Metal Alchemist (Brotherhood)
2. Game of Thrones
3. Avatar the Last Air Bender
4. Adventure Time
5. South Park

Hi Sephurik
Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
everything else is to see while you eat fun garbage
5 isn't nearly enough to even begin to list my favorite TV shows. I'll give it a whirl; Farscape, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, anything by Aaron Sorkin(West Wing, Newsroom, etc.), and anything by Joss Whedon (Angel, Buffy, Firefly, Dollhouse, etc.), and a bunch more.
on tv right now person of interest is by far the smartest and most interesting show available of all times probably BSG
By far BBC's Sherlock. Amazing work.
From there on, I think that Firefly would be my most favourite. Some of the best work ever, only suffering because of its age and budget. But shines through even despite those. The setting, the characters, the mysteries, all are just wonderful.
Game of Thrones coming in as third, because of its realism and intelligence in writing. I just love the way events unfold so naturally, with very little in "poetic justice" and "good will prevail". Seeing people and events go by, with so little in matters of literary armour. I like realistically intelligent writing, and this is the best offering in a medieval fantasy setting up to now.
The Wire would be fourth only behind Game of Thrones because I don't like modern times-based dramas as much.
Now if we are allowed to include cartoons, the top spot would be occupied by Samurai Jack. And Avatar somewhere in there as well.
