I also wouldn't recommend it if you dont like preposterous fantasy.

Oh no and i dont mean the fact that someone high up the ranks might be in cahoots with terrorists but the sheer retardation displayed by Brody. House under super surveilance and i need to call my terrorist buddy ? np just go into another room and scream NAZIIIR in the phone.

Followed the even weirded fact that nobody notices and tons of similar fuckups.

If it wasnt for Claire Danes superb acting the show would be completely unbearable.

Justified. First season had its flaws imo - but second and third season are awesome. The Bennets is one of the most interesting crime familys ive seen on a tv show lately.
Probally my favourite show from the recent years together with Breaking Bad (wich imo, allso had somewhat varying qualitys the first season).
I allso enjoy Game of Thrones, although if i have to be 100% honest - i find the second season slightly boring outside Dinklage, Charles Dance and Coster waldau.:/

Angel (I didn't like Buffy much, too much comedy for my taste)
Farscape .. season 2 and onward at least. S1 was kind of weird. I usually don't watch older shows but no regrets about this one. It's actually kinda dark for a "puppet" show.
Merlin - it's a shame they killed off Uther, I really liked the actor and the character
Caprica - I loved that show. It's a shame it got cancelled after only one season
Lost - it was pretty good but got a bit stale in the end and I hated the ending
True Blood - amazing southern atmosphere and its about vampires and werewolves:P

They went about it in a real chickenshit way too. The series finale aired on Christmas Day, and it was only announced AS the series finale 4 days earlier, and only online, the commercials and the voiceover announcers for for the last episode were only listing it as the SEASON finale, rather than the series finale. Seriously, you're gonna end a show that has run 5 seasons and not make a mention of it even BEING the final ep other than a short article on the TNT homepage and a post on Facebook? Way to get former viewers(you know, people who might be curious about how it ends) to tune in, jeesh.

Top Gear UK, yeah, idiotic ''Dancing of the <insert random thing here>'', ''Idols'' fucked up season 12... ffs, hate that Simon Cowell.
Robin of Sherwood - 1980something. from the BBC, just loved that as a kid, no herpderpherpderp, shot you with an arrow, you still live crap, just good ol' deads. And pretty true to how things looked. Only sidenote... Season 3 was ... less.... but must be I loved Micheal Pread by then.

My Girlfriend did get Once Upon A Time Season 1 for christmas and I have started to watch it. Felt a little bit too girly for me at first but this serie is amazing. Time to get my hands on season 2 episodes

I consider myself a seriesfreak and i have watched and am still watching many series. As I have seen many series its really hard to create any sort of top list since every serie is original in its own way and has at least one (or more) very good actors and great written plots/characters.

If I really had to call out the serie that made most impression on me then i would say : LOST. Allthought many people stopped after season 3, when only new questions got asked and you never really got an answer, I never did mind this at all and kept on watching. It is also the first 45min episode series I started to watch so I guess im a little biased, but I think its a really good show.

Other series that I think are just amazing are (i'm leaving funny sitcoms out of it):
(lost), The walking dead, sons of anarchy, supernatural, six feet under, dexter, legend of the seeker, merlin, american horror story (yes both seasons!), game of thrones, Kyle XY, True blood, the vampire diaries, Fringe, Haven, Revolution, Breaking Bad, Hell on Wheels, misfits and the following.

And as for sitcoms goes:
Friends (hands down my favorite), Go On, HIMYM, The new normal (this might actually turn out to be more funny then friends!), big bang theory, king of queens, 8 simple rules
