Analysis of benifits of Non-Disc 2pc bonus [Warning Math]

So, some people have been wondering what kind of mileage is possible out of the Non-disc 2pc. I was curious as well, so I did maths. I did the calculations in a cleanroom, so these scenarios do not account for lag, etc.

DH now is the trigger for the 2pc, which doesn't change the fundamentals on the cost reduction, but does make it far more applicable to play style. It is unknown at this time if the 2pc will trigger for DH or not.

At the end of each section, you'll see the following results:

Savings: How much mana did the 2pc save you
Savings for 3min timespan in MP5: The savings as spread out over 3min presented as MP5
Maximum Potential Savings in MP5: The savings as spread out over 3:23, 6:23, 9:23min, etc, presented as MP5

    Enjoy:

    Assumed:

    (1) 25% raid buffed haste
    (2) 3/3 MA [Assuming 4pc is an additive reduction]
    (3) No spell cost reduction items
    (4) Inner Fire

Locking thread to reword & remath since new info came out while I was writing.

    EDIT: Reopened with fixes.

Thanks for doing the math. Two minor comments/suggestions:

    1) If you spec into RR you should be able to get 15 renews off instead of 12 in the last scenario, which should increase mp5 by about 25% in that case.
    2) CoH glyph is actually additive with IW/MA so the cost of CoH is 20590 x .21 x 1.1 = 4756 mana, or 4107 in IW.

I didn't include RR b/c I don't know of many priests who seriously spec it. The Renew model was, at anyrate, more to show a baseline than anything else. I don't expect someone to throwdown a blanket of renews after a DH.

I wasn't aware that the glyph was shown to be additive. I'll make the corrections. EDIT: At anyrate, it's only a minor deviation.

math is fine, but i still have problem with these setbonuses...for disci maybe it will be fine, but for holy after you top whole raid with DH, than there is nothing to heal so most of the buff will be wasted or overheals (atleast 10 man where you can top whole raid with 1 hymn)...:/

Well that is the truth according to current content. Though they seem to expect massive raid dmg in next tier so i think we will just wait and see
the first ptr reports of the new raid.

Yeah, I'll be in line to throw the design under the bus if and when it clashes w/ the damage patterns of the T13 encounters. But, since we really don't know what that is yet, the only thing we can look at is the macro design & raw benefit.
