Roll an alt to switch to for when you're being griefed or when the xp bonus runs out.

Or, as you're a lock, go around with 2 friends, and summon an 85 or 2 (or 10).

i'd just spam /cry emotes at them. but after i hit 85, i leveled arch while waiting in the lfd q and ganked lowbies to make all right in the world.

I'd certainly go for leveling two toons on different continents simultaneously.

Also, you can sit in dungeon queue while dead and within res distance, when it pops, rez and port in.

Or you could res at a GY and log off until the sickness and the rogue's patience times out.

Just do Looking for Dungeon and run dungeons?
I've done this up until level 60 on my hunter and had no problems because i've never been in world. I did a few quests in blasted lands then started getting ganked, so I just did some more dungeons. I'll be planning to do this until at least level 70, since as well, I have two level 85's but I've never done any outland dungeons apart from Ramparts.

hes on pvp server cant flag it, its always on

Unless you change the default settings, people on PvP servers become unflagged in friendly starting areas and capitals after five minutes.

What a lot of people don't seem to realize about rogues (or anything with a cloak for that matter) is that if you're willing to look around for a while as a ghost, you will eventually run over them as they wait stealthed (yes, even the higher level ones). I've seldom had rogues move between my discovering this and either 1) rezzing directly on top of them/hitting them to break stealth or 2) using this to pick a more clandestine rez spot.

As others have suggested, be picky about where you rez when you can help it. Morons will wait on top of your body. Their ability to fly can make the getaway trickier but I didn't see this as much of an issue when I was getting ganked by fliers in BC or Wrath content. If you have an especially adept camper, you can always queue for a dungeon or BG. Just be in place to rez and accept the queue when it pops. Later on, when you enter phased content, hearthing and switching up your questing hub deters the problem as well.

As a last resort, you can log but I've personally never had so efficient a camper that I've had to do this. When in doubt, head towards a town and let the overpowered guards intervene.

Conversely, I've gotten into a few turf wars where I do camp specific people (no, not lowbies). Their pleas (and threats) through L1 tells do not phase me in the slightest. I don't recommend this tactic for dissuading a camper.

Asking for help from a guild/capital is always an option but I seldom see reinforcements show before the camper has moved on. It's so rare to get a good turf war going these days

Get some friends together and gank him back.

Yeah, for a guy that just ganks lowbies, writing him from levelones will just encourage him.

The natural response is "STFU NOOB PVP ON A PVP SERVER HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"
I think it is small brained to complain about getting "ganked" on a PvP server.

There is nothing in the game that states fairness is a part of PvP, and getting ganked, and in turn ganking is the natural cycle of the PvP world.

PvP servers aren't called "Only when it's convenient and fair for you PvP".

My favourite solution is pay 5 friends 5k each to corpse camp him for 3 hours.

It is small brained to see QQ everywhere.
"Hey guys, any tips on what to do against higher level gankers" is no different from "Hey guys, how can class X counter class Y?".

Or read a book, play single player games, learn something new.

To me getting ganked is a sign that I should be doing something else.

I wouldn't be so sure if i were you. Gankers are the type of guys to do that, cuz their life sucks and is empty so they fuck the game up for others just to fill the emptiness. So waiting for an hour or even four is no big deal for them.

The best way to get rid of them is to get a max-lvl to help you.

  17. #37
Owch that's a tough one :T Humm, i'd say you should try to go to another zone that's at the same level, if the guy continues to follow you, try and log off for X amount of time and try later. If it's possible for you to be on really late, you could always try that out.
Oh and if you're not sure what the level ranges are:

There you go. Best of luck.

This kind of bullshit is easy to write. I'd like to see you substantiate it.

Oh and as Kaopectate said, if you don't like being on a PvP server and it's rules then re-roll on a PvE one. But if I get spawn camped / constantly killed by OP classes, I just go afk for a while or jump on my main/other 85. I don't let it annoy me enough to make a thread about it on some forums, afterall I chose to be on a PvP server.
LOL - ::I want to help, but... oh no... must resist temptation... to show... my... superiority.....::

OP: Go play something else for 20 minutes. If he's still there when you return, /lol at him, /golfclap, and go play something else (another toon, another game, whatever).

The tone of where this topic is headed reminds me of a favorite, recent anecdote:
I was leveling my 80 hunter alt (would have been full Wrathful at launch of Cataclysm but an alt nonetheless) in Hyjal. I had just started the phased area with an enemy ogre camp under a cliff opposite a neutral camp with a pond in between. I turn in the wolf quest that leads to the hub camp phasing in-- so of course, I'm right on top of an NPC handing in a quest. An enemy rogue phases in and he immediately stealths. I'd learned the boundaries for PvP around this place a couple months earlier at launch so I'm thinking, "No way this guy is going to--" Sure enough, he cheapshots me and the guards beat his face in. I /pity his body and fly just outside the camp. I put my pet on passive and when he zones back in, I shoot him, out of range of the guards' aggro. He dies and I fly off. I do the ogre quests (pick flowers, kill some guys, free some guys, find a guy, escort a prisoner, etc.) Along the way, I catch the rogue out of stealth four more times and kill him while he does nothing but try to run. This is pretty typical for me-- I don't intentionally camp folks when I'm trying to level but if I see them, I'm going to try and take them out. Less mob competition and all so I don't really think anything of it. I then mount up, hover above the pond and log for the night.

    EIGHT HOURS LATER. . .
I wake up and decide to finish the first round of Hyjal quests, starting with the guys on the cliff in front of me. Within a minute (I wish I were kidding with the time), three fellow horde hover around me. This sort of behavior makes me nervous but I continue killing the npcs. I'm on the second or third when some 85 hunter in 85 PvP gear drops out of the sky and 5-shots me. I fly back and look around as a ghost. The horde are still hovering but he's not shooting at them. I read the combat log as I eye the enemy hunter above me. Not only is it someone from the same guild as the rogue from the previous night but-- a variant of its name as well. This guy's main?!? Did this guy really recruit horde to /who my name for 8 hours? Did he really try to camp my logged off hunter for 8 hours? Was this just some coincidence/ did he even remember the name of the hunter who'd harassed his rogue a few times after a failed first attempt? I never found out. I accepted a rez on top of the cliff's portal, went in, hearthed, did a dungeon and never saw the guy again.

I have my theories and regardless of what really went on in this person's head, I got a good laugh out of it.

**On a side note, I did armory the rogue at some point the night before and remember noting that this person had no business trying to pick a fight with me. I don't remember whether he had heirlooms but he was wearing Wrath leveling gear. I don't recall what the hunter was wearing (I do believe he was mostly, if not full, conquest) but he did have an impressive resume under FoS (rank 11 or 12)and PvP. My main would have been in Cata dungeon blues so I wasn't even going to try and get into a 1v1 with this person.
