To everyone saying that you shouldn't care about hps or healing done because it's important that the boss goes down i tell you this:
If you're on a progress fight, a boss which you never killed before and you're the raid leader. You have 3 healers online equally geared and skilled: shammy, druid, holydin. You only need 2 healers. You'll NEVER NEVER NEVER gonna take the shaman and that's a fact. I mean i play a shaman, but if i had a choice i wouldn't pick him over other healing classes. No way, no how.
Guess my point is that, i agree, meters are bad at judging healers but when there's quite the gap in healing output between one healing spec and the others something needs to be done. No one likes being at the bottom of skada/recount reports, especially when it's by a large margin. And in a MMO that at it's peak PvE game everything is about min/maxing. I'm just saying...
