Absolutely normal to peak at the Start of an encounter. Having your trinkets procced, the prepot rolling and all the big cooldowns at Hand like a murder of crows and Stampede. I peak at 400k+ and fall back to 250k er something (depending on fight)

Also try to get as much agi as you can as survival. You are sagnificantly over the hitcap. Try to change some agi/hit gems to pure agi if the socket bonus isn't hat good. (Cant check them because fuck smartphones^^)

I'm just going to look at IJ, since it is a pretty decent single target fights (at least in normal, which is what you're doing, don't know about heroic).

In IJ:
- Like you said, you're BA/SrS uptimes need to be higher with AoC equipped. Both around 80.
- You fired GT off 12 times. In a 4:39 fight, you should get off 14.
- You didn't cast Stampede, at all. With AoC equipped, you can get two off in this fight. Major loss there.
- Your thirll of the hunt procced 15 times, but also had an 81% uptime which says to me you're probably getting lucky with the LnL procs. Personally, I find DB is better with SV 4 pc because evn if you're near cap, the focus gains are small enough to make sure you get them, plus the damage is automatic. Not to mention that I believe DB just sims better right now, as SimC was overvaluing ToTH.
- 56 AS + 78 ES + 12 GT + 9 SrS (!!!!, I assume from falling off so much, based on your logs) + 8 KS + 12 BAs = 175s of GCDs accounted for. Even if your CoSs all took 1.5s (which is high, many would come under rapid fire/BL), you have 33, for 49.5s GCD for a total of 224.5 GCDs. The fight lasted for 279s. What're you doing for those missing 55s? Press more buttons in a more timely fashion! Missing 55 GCDs is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, even if it's all done with CoS and ASs (IE, if yo ucouldn't squeeze in more ES/BA/GT as if you were using them on CD).

Edit: You did spend 10s of that 55 in Deterrence, I assume to jump on bombs, but you shouldn't need 5s per deterrence per bomb. Deter, jump on it, target the boss, cancel deterrence, be DPSing him before you're evne finished falling, imo.

Armory problems:
1) You're mainly using green quality gems. Upgrading to blue quality would give you 460 and some more hit in your glinting gems.
2) You're using an INTELLECT meta gem. If you don't have the legendary meta, go for Agile Shadowspirit, same 3% critical damage, agility static.
3) chest and hands are not enchanted, I imagine that's due to upgrades, you said 538 in your post. You're also missing a BS socket on your gloves.
4) Dranei need less than the 2250 hit cap to reach 7.5% hit. I don't know what it is, but it's at least 100 below what you're using right now. 2784 expertise, way over cap. Which is weird because you reforged TO 1600 expertise. Speaking of which....
5) Your reforgings are super screwy. You don't need 1600 expertise from reforging. Put an expertise enchant on your hands, reforge into some crit.

Logs:
1) Good uptime on SrS (98%), BA could be higher (90% ish).
2) I don't know why you cast Hunter's Mark 12 times. Maybe it's in a macro of yours?
3) I don't know which one of your pets listed is your normal pet, it seems like none of the 4 are because the 4 listed were up for 20s total. That means your pet didn't attack at all. It was either dead, or at your side the whole time. That's like, 23k DPS, as per the other SV hunter in the raid.
4) You cast 3 GT in a 215s fight. You should have 14.
5) ES usage: 215s fight/6s CD = almost 36 ES, 12 LnL procs = anywhere from 24-36 more procs, more towards 36, you can lose a few from LnL proccing right as ES comes off CD, before you put ES on CD. Say 34ish. So 70 ES or so, you got off 53. That's lower than the low end, which tells me you're not pressing ES on CD, and/or not using all your LnL procs.
6) 27.7% uptime on Rapid Fire. This should be much higher with 2pc.
7) 53 ES + 11 BA + 1 SrS + 45 AS + 3 GT + 6 KS = 119s + (36 CoS x 1.5s) = 173s, in a 215s fight. Press more buttons! On a fight like Malkorak, you never have to stop DPS for anything. Disengage is off the GCD, and you shouldn't really need to deterrence anything.

Lots of stuff you need to do to improve. Come back when you fix this stuff and we can probably handle the minor nuances.

Iron Juggernaut, if your team does it right, it's pure single target with 100% uptime. Malkorak normal serves the same purpose.

I'm wondering if using it off cd outweighs using it in conjunction with BW (also since I have AoC, with 40s BW, I'll be losing 1 Synapse Spring every 3 BW's, not sure about the tradeoff). Thanks.

I'm fairly certain it's been discussed/simmed ad nauseum and established it's best to use them every availability unless there is a specific fight mechanic like DS spine tendons where that burst is better off saved and stacked. I think AoC would make this even more true but maybe I misunderstood.

At the end of the day though I think the determining factor is RNG. You might save it for BW and have crap luck with procs/buffs/etc but maybe the stars align outside of BW.

Before I get too far into this, I was to clear some things up beforehand. I didn't obtain my 4pc until after raid when these logs were posted, so the numbers you see are without the 4pc. I also have an unfortunate combination of items that put me 340 hit points above the cap, but the items I received were undeniable upgrades. I've done my best to reforge out of as much hit rating as possible. Edit: I forgot to mention that the FemaleDwarf link I provided shows my DPS with the 4pc. Here is a link to the results without the 4pc.

The two logs I've linked are from Iron Juggernaut and Malkorok on normal mode. I was ever-so-slightly higher than FemaleDwarf has me as Beast Mastery for Iron Juggernaut, but I was disappointed with my DPS on Malkorok. Iron Juggernaut only lasted slightly longer than Malkorok. I've been unfortunate enough to have Assurance of Consequence proc after Bestial Wrath is over and Ticking Ebon Detonator made it's rounds a few times, which prevents my opener from being as lethal as I've occasionally had it.

I expect that my DPS will be better next week now that I have my 4pc, but it never seems to be good enough for me. I either have my expectations set too high or I'm just not getting the hang of it. I've never had anyone tell me to step it up or try harder, but I personally feel like I'm not where I should be.

Any help is appreciated.

When I go on a dummy my dps wont get any higher then 105k at the most after Stampede fades, I use Rapid Fire everytime it's of the CD and I try to use Black Arrow so it doesn't waste the duration. But according to FemaleHunter my dps should be around 140k dps. What am i doing wrong? Sorry for not posting any WoL

This isn't as much of a fix my dps post but I just want to know what pieces of gear I need to reach 250k-ish dps. I've been wondering if I should use TED or Haromm's talisman though I still have the LFR versions only. I'm really close to my 4pc and it sims 10k dps higher so that's one of my priorities. I make a couple of mistakes I am aware of in my rotation: I Delay DB by a couple of secs, not casting GT on CD because sometime I need to cast a CS to get focus for it, I cast AMoC during BW so it takes less focus but I think that may be bad, I have Synapse Springs macroed into BW but I am thinking of putting it in a macro when my second Virmen's Bite is used while my AoC Agi buff is up.

TED as BM, Haromm's as SV. If you are having to cast a CS to get enough focus for GT, then you should be watching your focus and cooldowns much more carefully. Using AMoC during BW past the opener is fine for the focus reduction, in the opener though I would tend to use it earlier since focus isn't an issue in the opener with all your haste. I would recommend you use your Synapse springs on CD and not delaying it.

For a quick look at the armory to begin with, he does not appear to be reforging crit > haste > mastery. Now I'm not 100% familiar with marksman, but I believe the reforge is still crit > haste > mastery for that spec. Anyway, bit irrelevant since the logs you gave us are of him playing Survival. Ask him what his reforge priority for SV is to be sure (It should be crit > haste > mastery also, with mastery before haste being debatable).

Now, looking at his logs, his DoT uptime is exceptionally poor. Now I know due to explosive shot strings of procs your dots can drop for a few seconds but that is no excuse for his uptime. I'm going to assume since the logs im replying to are a month old that he did not have his CD reduction trinket at the time or his 4 set (I really hope this is the case). Nevertheless he should still have around a 95-99% uptime on his Serpent sting, and a 70-80% uptime on his black arrow, even without the trinket. His SrS uptime is around 60-65% on most pulls, reaching an all time high of 76% (this is on the wipes that are 5 minutes+ long, as they are the only real relevant ones for this) and his Black arrow uptime is between 30-50%. This is extremely low uptime, and I would suggest asking him how he tracks his DoT's. If he doesn't use an addon for this, go ahead and tell him to get something like classtimer. I'm sure this isn't the only issue with his gameplay right now, but if he manages to get his DoT uptime to an optimal standard, it will be a big improvement.

This is more so asking for help for BM, I rarely play it, and to be fairly blunt, suck at it. I put my epeenbot in here, I just think it's easier to find logs, well faster and all right in front of you. I like to think I'm very good at SV, but for single target fights, which I know BM should be better on, I cringe thinking of changing specs. I feel as if I'm one dimensional, which is very bad in general, worse in a 10m guild. I'd like someone who really knows what they are doing, to dig in and rip me apart, I feel like I have to be doing something wrong, to see such a large difference in numbers between spec's. Thank you.
