Hey Guys please I need your help to fix my dps.. i had already asked weeks ago but had no answers

Expectations: 45k - 44k+ on ultaxion (now i do at most 41k), general improvements on all fights heroic or non heroic

I must be doing something wrong for sure, there's an arms warrior who is overdpsing me for 3-4 k on Ultraxion and i used to be the top dps on that fight, simply not possible.
I prepot before the fight starts, always. Rabid is macroed with all my shots and so is synapse springs. I use the common shots priority, yes sometimes it happens that i delay some shots too much but i mean it's obvious to wrong sometimes during a long fight.
Any tips u might give me coming from my logs? I'm sure the answer is there.. it's such a shame i can't beat a warrior.. even in madness where there's a lot of aoe.. i really don't know what i might do to improve my perfomance.. read all kind of guides and such

As I said in the sv thread, leave out one of your arcane shots for just a slight delay after the gcd in your lnl rotations (ES delay ES AS/CS ES for example). Getting the feel for doing that without clipping will help.

Start planning your cooldown usage according to boss mechanics and such. Basic rule of thumb is to time haste cds with agi boosts whenever possible:
Morchok: Rapid fire at the start instead of midway through to line up with your call of the wild/pot/synapse and polearm proc.
Zonozz, Hagara: Save your rapid fire until the damage buff phases, and the latest one possible on Zonozz
Ultraxion: If you're using rapid fire near the start of the fight, use it immediately. The way you staggered it left it still on top of hero but after your pot and synapse springs ended. If you're going to stagger your rapid fire, save it until the end when you can start using kill shot, use your re-pot and ideally try to time it with your polearm proc and synapse springs.
Also, Kill Command shouldn't be used at all.

would like to know what i can do to push me over 38k. i just picked up 403 kiril this week to replace the agi staff and havnt seen H ultraxion with it yet

i pre-pot and use CoW prior to combat then switch out pets, put up SS, BA, Explo, then RF and go into my normal rotation. right now i have my glove tinker as well as the valor trink macro'd into my explo shot to keep them up as much as possible, should those be used somewhere else (kiril proc)

Perhaps refer to the log and bring to his attention how you're beating a rogue with legendaries? I think your dps is excellent for your gear and for the fact that you had to use a tenacity pet.
Turning your pet's dash/dive off during Ultraxion will free up some focus and give a bit of a boost though, it's buggy and uses it on cooldown even thought it's not moving anywhere.

Unfortunately even female dwarf doesn't think 45k is possible yet with your gear, I ended up with about 43k in the sim, but that doesn't take the Heroic Will delays into account either. Your trinkets are of course the biggest drain on your dps, but probably not much you can do about that, rng is rng. Since you were able to use the sigil three times in the fight and had the same amount of chronohunter procs, try to line them up next time so that you have the speed boost with the agi boost. Only when the fight length allows you to get one more use out of it should you use it on cooldown. I noticed on your lnl procs you used the ES AS ES AS/CS ES rotation, with which you'll never have to worry about clipping at all, but it would yield a bit more dps if you took out the first arcane and left a small delay. Reasoning behind that is that it allows your ES to come off cooldown a gcd quicker each lnl proc, which leads to more in a fight, but still prevents clipping. Wait until you visibly see the gcd end after the first ES and then start hitting it so that the reaction time results in the required delay. Also, I would change you boot enchant to the pure agi just to squeeze out the extra agi. As a hunter I've never found myself with a lack of movement capability, especially when I was worgen, so you may be able to do without it.
Otherwise keep it up, you've got what it takes, it's more than likely the gear at this point holding you back. Good luck!

Okay ty,yes with vial and the wrath of unchaining i will probably get a big dps increase. Well isnt it that if i hold of the sigil for too long i will lose dps? How long can i wait to use sigil until it becomes a dps loss to wait for chronohunter? Ty.

It's safe to delay using it depending on the fight length if it doesn't cause you to loose a use of it. Since the cooldown for each one is different, there's a point where you would be able to get another use if you use it when it's off cooldown. Fight lengths from 4 minutes and 45 seconds and longer will have the possible sigil uses outnumber the chrono procs. Under that, aligning them will not cost you a use and stacking them will be beneficial.

Hello everyone. I've never been on the hunter side of the mmo world, so I hope you're helpful and caring like most rest of the site! :]

As of recently, our resident hunter has seemingly fallen off the map. Whereas a few weeks ago he would be at least 2/3, he has now fallen to 5th and by a large margin. We run a 10 man guild with a Fire Mage, Shadow Priest, Arms Warrior, and Combat Rogue, with a HPally, RDruid, and RShaman healing. Using a Prot warrior/Paladin as tanks (Although our Paladin tank has fallen ill, this shouldn't matter much, was simply showing our comp for anything that might be needed).

He refuses to run as anything but survival, no matter the situation (Even if Survival sucks for the fight in question, it won't matter to him). Outside of respeccing Marks or BM for whatever reason, is there anything that is either very apparent or slightly off with him?

Well, asking him to go anything but Survival for any other fight than Spine of Deathwing is probably a little unfair, because it's either the best or second best spec for all other fights, and only second by a very small margin.

Character: 65 mastery on hands. Use www.wowreforge.com with these weights:
Exactly 961 hit.
4 in crit.
2 in mastery.
1 in haste.

Looking at ultrax log:
Black Arrow should be used on CD, your uptime is quite low (about 5%).
You only clipped 2 explo shot ticks, so that's not too bad for starting out.
Remember to time your second pots/rapid fire/COTW with a Kiril proc, and not to overlap bloodlust with your rapid fire.

I don't really see any glaring errors on your reforges, but I haven't checked you in the reforge tool - I assume any item with haste on it has been reforged out of it, and any item without crit has been reforged into it, etc.
Your cat is talented wrong (should be 2/2 wild hunt rather than 1/2 shark attack 1/2 wild hunt).

First thing first - I can't do anything regarding reforges/etc when he's not wearing his helm, and wearing the dalaran signet. But what I *can* see, is that even with those two items, he has about 1.6K haste, which is a shitton more than you'd ever want. Mastery is stronger for both BM and Surv hunters (his two active specs), so I don't know why he would want to have such high haste levels (reforging into haste out of mastery on his staff for example).
His wolf (I assume he uses for SV due to 17 talent points rather than 21) is spec'd wrong, as with the above person, 2/2 wild hunt > shark attack+wild hunt.

Also, surv is the best spec for every single fight (assuming you don't need the tendon dmg on Spine anymore, and would rather have the amalg/corruption breaking damage). You asking him to go anything else is stupid.

As for the log you linked;
He's just doing terrible singletarget dps. He's only behind your mage on adds that has to be switched to (tentacles on zon'ozz, globules on yorsahj, , so he's doing that right. However, he's got about 33% uptime on explo shot rather than the approx 45% he should on ultraxion, 67.2% uptime on black arrow down from 76-77%, and 87.4% uptime on serpent sting down from 99%... He's basicly afking through the fights. There's nothing we can do to help him when he's just being lazy and not clicking his buttons (for emphasis, he casted 44 explosive shots. If used on CD, that would take 264 seconds, or 4:24 seconds. Your fight lasted 4:26 seconds. Which means that he completly ignored every single lock and load proc he had over the entire fight, as that would reset his explo shot timer and give him 2 "free" shots - basicly, he should have had about 15-20 explosive shots more).

I can see he did die a bit early, but the point still stands - 11 lock and loads with 44 explo shots is terribad.

Pretty much having an issue keeping my DPS throughout the fight, sometimes I get lucky sometimes I look like complete shit.

On a fight where hero is popped on start

Pre Pot
Apply Serpent Sting
Explosive Shot
Black Arrow
Arcane Shot dump if ES & BA are on CD & enough focus available
Cobra Shot
Rapidfire after hero & if no DPS halts/phase transitions (Pot with RF if L&L Procs)
(below 20% health, Kill Shot)

For Lock & Load, pretty much ExS/Arcane/ExS/Arcanex2/ExS (Fill Arcane with Kill or BA if needed)

I've heard spamming ExS when L&L procs might be better with .5 sec inbetween (But never let focus cap)

I'm really having a lot of haste issues, but that is expected since I'm using starcatcher.

Any advice? really want to start pushing for ranks, but I'm not getting there.

Hello Riican. I hope I can help you.

You need to have atleast 1.66 (or a bit less) cast time on cobra shot. Then you will be able to hit 3 of them inbetween explosive shots.
As far as the LnL goes, spam the first two, arcane shot (cobra shot if not enough focus) and then explosive shot again. You don't need to wait.
