Event Overview

Team up with other players to push back against the waves of minions, enter the Time Rifts, and plug the hole by taking down the bosses in alternate timelines to set the timeways straight again. Collect artifacts and take them back to Soridormi to complete quests.

Obtain Paracausal Flakes to trade in for items, including pets, tabards, cosmetic armor and weapon appearances, mounts, trinkets, and more! While the Time Rifts are active, players can also complete quests and achievements that reward titles, toys, Flightstones, and more.

Time Is Ticking

A Time Rift begins every hour on the hour. Once a rift becomes unstable, head over to Tyrhold Reservoir in Thaldraszus, where the veil between the timeways has been worn thin, and push against the encroaching chaos. Mouse over the map icon five minutes before the event to get a countdown and information on which timeway is about to invade our own.

EON’S FRINGE

While the timeways are unstable, undertake new repeatable content in Eon’s Fringe in Thaldraszus, located near the Temporal Conflux.

Nozdormu knows his time is coming and can feel things are going awry. Due to these disruptions, episodes in Azeroth’s history are going astray, and players must access Eon’s Fringe to set things right. Work to settle the timeways and solve the problems brought about by their instability and reap the rewards of a job well done.

Prepare to unravel the time streams when Dragonflight: Fractures in Time arrives on July 11.

We look forward to seeing you on the Dragon Isles!

    Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaah THAT one.

The one where you make sure Invincible breaks its legs and Arthas has to put them down

That one is better than the one they changed in the PTR, about ensuring Alexstraza was mating against her will.

The good thing is it's all fantasy, and none of these characters are real, they're just pixels and code.

So where are those rogue talent changes that were supposed to be coming with 10.1.5?

If only this was more involved like Rift where if you didn't stop the portal and invasion you had to claim the zone back

I find it interesting how murder, torture, genocide, etc. are permissible in a game; but rape isn't. Weird double standards.

The thing is that there is/was a quest that made the Demon Soul go missing so that Alexstraza would free herself from the Dragonmaw Clan sooner during the Second War. We "needed" to make sure that ... well... it didn't go missing. This leads to Alexstraza being forced to mate and produce dragons for the Dragonmaw Clan during the Second War, under the pretense that any if any Red dragon got out of line, Alexstraza would be punished.

Because making fantasy genocide by evil faction/s in fantasy setting is par of the course. It was never something to be gloated about and never manifested as something good.
Now they created a quest where you must ensure a character get raped for "greater good". Lets not be blizzards and have minimum morals ok?

What? You literally go back in time to help Medivh open the dark portal so the Orcs can commit genocide for the greater good all the way in tBC...

Yes, and that is also fucked up. Not on this level as rape. 1 of 6 american does not experience genocide, but sexual violence. Also lets not forget about cosby suit.

Those are like not on the same level at all.

"Sexual assault is more common in America NOW and so it's not on the same level". Meanwhile WoW players across other ethnicities, cultures within the US and without...

Dude you can't just decide which group is ok to offend and which one isn't.

Not that it matters, Blizzard clearly caved to the online pressure so here we are.

"Rape is a serious crime that affects millions of people around the globe. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 1 in 3 women will experience sexual violence in their lifetime, with 7% of those women having experienced rape or attempted rape."

Yes, it is all about murica.

And now, putting a quest where we must ensure that genocide need to happen because of "greater good" would be fucked. Especially when framed as something good that NEEDS TO HAPPEN OR REALITY WILL SHATTER.

Always disliked those quests to be honest and explanation was flimsy. Blizzard just wanted to make moments from rts into their rpg and they, of course, did not think it through.

You realise that has already happened? It's cannon. Alexstraza being kept against her will getting raped, and producing offspring to be enslaved is part of her history and part of warcraft lore. Alexstrasa is an awesome character, one of my favourites, an this only makes her even more amazing. That she has suffered this and did not become a vengeance seeking zealot. You seem ok with all the other quests about murder and genocide but if it involves sex then it's too far.

Amazing how after centuries of religious nonsense about of sex as something to be afraid of, something that is taboo, avoided and controlled, after the sexual revolution of the past decades, we're full circle where sex is again something sacred, so much so that sexual violence is a bridge too far while war crimes, genocide, enslavement and other types of violence are branded "lesser" and acceptable as entertainment.

It's just next level entitlement where "they" get to choose what is the "trauma" that is acceptable. I bet Aliven also uses words like Unalive instead of killed or suicide just to avoid triggering trauma.
