Dwarves for the Horde huh. Dont get me wrong, I dig Dwarves as a race, but when you look at all the races we could have its weird to see this one as a selling point

I am disappointed. Time to quit I guess. Just looks like more of the same. But THREE expansions worth of it. Yippee.

That shot of Anduin holding the sword up, like Arthas holding Frostmourne up in the WotLK cinematic. Excellent call back.

The bipedal nerubians have all the trappings of an allied race. Humanoid enough to not be weird, and their heads/bodies are similarly shaped to the other humanoid races that helms/weapons/shoulders etc should look good on them. At least as far as technology is concerned the mesh and rig should absolutely be able to handle it. I suspect we get them late in the expansion.

They have 4 arms though, female naga have multiple arms, its holding them back from being playable.

Very lame cinematic. Whiny Anduin, cheap borrowed empty moves and phrases. No real action at all. I guess they laid off their cinematic team.

I hope you're right, I have a lot of criticisms about the story, and the biped nerubians are a tad skinny for my tastes, but I love that they're a more monstrous looking race that's in the running for playable.

I don't see any important announcement only small quality of life improvements but the cinematic didn't show us anything new or our who is the new enemy. The classic new season is more interesting.

I doubt it. We've been down that road before - so many races that looked playable in a new expansion, and each time we hoped that they'd eventually unlock... but NOPE.

Instead they give us Earthen, which they can just use a retooled dwarven rig for so it's not a lot of work to get all the gear to fit etc.

Are there lore/story avenues for us to get nerubians on our side? I'm sure we'll do exactly that. "Liberate" them from their pheromone control, show them how truly evil the purple Knaifu is for forcing the nerubians to obey their queen like, uh, their race is naturally doing or something. And presto, we got them.

But will that mean playability? NOPE.

They could have them work like how Mechagnomes do and have gear look diffrent on them.
Also, they're not triggering any phobia of insects in me, so that's a bonus. If anything, they just look like bug aliens.

I mean Venthyr don't make sense though.

    1. They are dead and effectively in purgatory...it's not much of a purgatory if you can just .. leave
    2. They don't do well in sunlight kinda a problem
    3. At this point Horde and Alliance struggles are beneath them. Shit oh no Azeroth might die is beneath them.
    4. I don't think it's even possible for them to leave the Shadowlands I think only the folks in Bastion have that ability and that's only because it's their job

Arathi Humans for Horde would've made more sense, but these are "lost" dwarves that have no ties to the Alliance.
