I think they mean the candle golems, not the obvious kobolds.

Wowhead post just released an article about the Harronir. Not playable, but a lot of customizations. Speculation as a later allied race.

Nice to see the Kobold model finally getting an update, can't help but feel like they've lost something in the translation though. Not as extreme as the Centaur updates in DF, but still, they're don't feel completely like Kobolds to me.

The baby spider critter pet thing is adorable. Lots of nice models there overall, wish they'd hurry up and update the wolf models already.

People are mad about the one armed woman and I'm here interested in seeing them trying to experiment with missing limbs and potential replacements. I'll probably be disappointed but let's see if they're willing to make something decent out of it

I’m so fucking tired of this trend to shove disabled people in fantasy. Even my favorite fucking game Dark Souls I mocked relentlessly for having an old man in a wheelchair chilling in underground dark caverns that you can’t even get to without falling. But at least that HAD to have been added to be a joke. Because literally all three areas he’s in, are impossible areas to get to by wheelchair. But with nu-Blizz they’re gonna for sure add this with a story how this person is proud to have lost their arm and won’t take engineering nor magic to fix it. Because it gives them their strength of course. It’s tiresome. So tiresome.

And I say this as a man who spends 70% of his awake time in his wheelchair because I can’t stand or walk due to my nerves. I’m playing these games for escapism. My disability is not my super power believe it or not. It fucking sucks and I miss be days when I could walk more than anything.


That’s my rant. And no I’m not using my disability as a shield against getting criticized. You can shit on me it’s cool. In fact I will hold it against you if you read this and want to reply negatively but don’t because you feel sorry for me.

I feel like a character without a hand is pretty appropriate for a world where everyone carries swords

Not to mention a shield prosthetic is a pretty unique and fitting way to overcome such an injury, especially for a paladin who would likely be using one anyway

I don't mind different things in games. It's a fantasy. Not reality. There can and should be all types of things. But when the real world social justice warriors are clamoring for more representation for the marginalized anytime you add these things into a game innocent or not it's going to cause a stir.

This is coming from someone who is A: Involved in a mixed marriage and has a biracial child. B: Has several people in my immediate and extended family who are somehow disabled.

I don't need to see more mixed marriages or biracial people, or handicapped characters in a game to feel like these types of things are OKAY or normal. I just need people in real life to feel like it's normal and not treat me or my family any differently.

I wish that she was normal at the start of the expansion, but then in a questline we actually see how she loses her arm and eye and she's stuck like that for the rest of the expansion... If she's already like this from the moment we meet her, then it wouldn't be as impactful. Then we see her be a badass by putting on a shield prosthetic and use her good arm to fight.

I mean, this is coming from a game where an entire orc clan cuts off one of their hands and grafts a sword into their stubs, they do it not because it'll give them an advantage but as a symbol of their freedom against their ogre oppressors and how they exist today.. and another orc clan where they sacrifice an eye in a ritual to foresee their future and death.

Sorry I didn't mean negative per say. I just couldn't think of the proper terminology. It's considered that women in general have been at a disadvantage in a patriarchal society. Also being a minority, especially a PoC. So companies have been trying to make up for it by putting these types of people front and center. Call it what you will, but it just seems like more virtue signaling. Like "Look at us we are progressive!" Virtue signaling is only bad because it's disingenuous. It's like forgetting someones birthday then grabbing a random item in your home and handing it to them like "Look I got you something!".
