The War Within Alpha - Earthen Allied Race: Racials and Models
The War Within adds a new allied race - The Earthen! We've got an early look at their racials and the models!

  • Azerite Surge - Draw upon your inner strength. Release to invoke the power of Azerite, dealing 0 Fire damage. Empowering has the following effects:
    • Deals [ 113.4% of Spell Power ] Fire damage.
    • Heals allies for [ 100% of Attack Power ].
    • Deals [ 113.4% of Spell Power ] additional Fire damage to the highest health enemy.
  • Hyper Productive - Increases Finesse by 0%. Finesse increases the chance of gathering additional materials.
  • Ingest Minerals - You are always Well Fed, but cannot consume food. Activate Ingest Minerals to consume a gem and change the benefit granted to you by Well Fed.
    • Amber: Stamina
    • Emerald: Haste
    • Onyx: Mastery
    • Ruby: Critical Strike
    • Sapphire: Versatility
  • Titan-Wrought Frame - Base armor from equipped items is increased by 0%.
  • Wide-Eyed Wonder - When you gain experience for exploring a location, gain 0% additional exploration experience.




The War Within Alpha - Harronir Models
This build also added the Harronir NPC race, which you can play with in the modelviewer as well!

    They have a touch of Night elf look to them. Could be me, but the ears look kinda elfish. Or it could be the look of the face that has that elf look to it.

    No, I'd say it's the missing link between trolls and nelves, if it wouldn't be for quils and fur. I know that trolls in theory have a fur too, but even if you take Drakkari they don't look like furries.

    Ears are different, and the clothing style. There is a chance it's a hybrid of nelf and something else. Or completely differennt race alltogether.

    Gosh, just not another retcon with these weird creatures please.

    Also obligatory -> Earth is a terrible race pick for both factions, they are just dwarves+

    Well it's possible it's a missing link and just evolved differently, magic could always be part of the difference

    I really hope the Earthen have an option to not have those weird crystal cysts all over their bodies. It makes them look like they have some kind of gross STD.

    Adding new lore isn't a retcon unless it contravenes old lore, since we know nothing about harronir it's too early to use that word

    the lore is that dark trolls -> night elves

    not that dark trolls -> this fucked up thing -> night elves

    Its not even a good retcon, because these fucks don't look anything like trolls, while you can see how night elves look like trolls
