MMO-Champion "Be nice, not naughty!" Giveaway
It's almost Christmas! All the WoW players around the world are happy and busy being nice to everyone they know and don't know in-game! ... Ok, most of you aren't that nice and I heard that Santa's "naughty" list is getting longer and longer with so many people gearing up in PuG/random instances.

That's why Christmas and the holidays is a wonderful time to change that behavior, especially if you can get free stuff just by being nice!

I never joke when it comes to being nice, and this is definitely the biggest giveaway to date!


Giveaway Rules
This giveaway is very simple and will require you to do 3 simple things.

1. Join a random instance group through the /lfd tool, any level is fine it doesn't have to be a Cataclysm dungeon. When you arrive in the instance you have to:
  • Say hello to the members of the group. (Any language is fine)
  • Wish them Happy Holidays/a Merry Christmas!

2. You have to finish the instance with that same group, I'm expecting you to kill the last boss and finish the instance instead of quitting after the first wipe. Let's say that two members are allowed to change over the course of the instance because you can't control other people ragequitting over stupid things (but it won't happen if you're nice!)

At the end of the instance:
  • Say goodbye to the members of the group and thanks them for their time.
  • Wish them Happy Holidays/a Merry Christmas again!

3. Post on the MMO-Champion "Be nice, not naughty!" Giveaway - Screenshots Thread the two screenshots of 1. and 2. to show the world how nice you are. After you're done with that, you will officially be on the list of the people nice enough to be picked for free stuff! (One post per user allowed)

4. Winners will be picked on December 26th at 08:00PM GMT based on their post numbers. If there are 2437 replies at the end of the giveaway, I will do a /random 1-2437 (either in-game or on a random number generator site) and will select winners based on their post number!

Computers - Setup of the Month (by chaud)
Each month or every 2 months, depending on the hardware evolutions, the lovely chaud will work on a couple of hardware setups for those of you who are thinking of upgrading their computer!

Read if you plan to upgrade - New Intel CPUs with a 0-15% gain in some applications are coming in January for those who wait and will be included next time.

    Is it okay to be as high as a kite when I'm being nice? I think that's the only way I could bring myself to extend the olive branch of respect and decency after doing PUG's all these years.

    Another question! I just completed this by doing a Deadmines heroic.... does it need to be up to Cookie (where one dps left due to GF aggro), or up to Vancleef herself? (we didn't finish it because we didn't want to have a DPS queue up, fail on vancleef, and have group disband since you can't attempt her again without a soft reset).

    Hey guys, just thought i'd drop a few things, i think people are taking this a lil too seriously, like the post says, it doesn't have to be a cataclysm dungeon, it could be on a lowbie alt running wc and it would still count, it's simply just boub obviously being nice and giving things away to people who would take the time to be nice themselves, it's not a serious "you must finish heroic daily stonecore with no wipes and everyone be nice to each other" it's just simply a "join a random lfd and do what it says"

    @ Boub, u might not read this, but i check MMO like every day, was a fantastic year with heaps of information, it's people like you who i thank very much, gave me a good boost in cataclysm thanks to the information provided here.

    Lovely idea this, sadly I havent encountered anyone trying to enter this contest today. I hope they will soon (me trying /hi merry xmas and all didnt matter so far, we still managed to burn through a lot of pug people to get the instance done, mind you it was a 85 hc, on my server its quite an accomplishment to even complete it lol)

    what if you enter a dungeon and they've killed some/most of the bosses then? do you have to join a full run?

    No fair... I was up til past 4am EST doing a H SFK for like 2 hours and not once did I act like a dick. My friend might have been dick enough for the both of us, but I can't control that .

    Based on the rules, doesn't sound like it. Just say nice things when you join and when it ends.

    I have my pictures but it won't let me post the links until I "post a few times." As a long time reader and someone who only posts when I have something good to say (that hasn't been said already) this is kind of crummy, but I guess I'll try to get to whatever limit there is. The pictures are good too, heroic Grim Batol with a pug and only a couple wipes.
