People have been predicting they would be a playable race for years. It was an April Fools joke as well by Blizzard. This is a nice find, but hardly shocking or surprising if it is indeed true. You knew it was only a matter of time.

Only not so much. The inclusion of Chen Stormstout the Pandaren Brewmaster was a little easter egg in the bonus campaign of TFT. They weren't ever intended to feature prominently in the story. They weren't even invented by metzen - Pandaren began life as a cute drawing by Samwise Didier, inspired by either his son being cute, or by someone saying he looked like a panda (don't quite recall).

This panda nonsense with china is complete boloney. People want to believe that that is the sort of thing that china would do, so they believe it. It's a bummer that it bears no relation to reality though.

Pandarens horde or aliance ? geez i see so much drama so maybe they better stay neutral :P

I hope this is just a joke, I'm not a big fan of the panda stuff so an expansion on that would be dumb but a new IP would be even dumber :/ am disapoint

after world joyland i dont think blizzard is going to really give a crap about what china thinks. its not like the chinese government would even listen to a copyright claim even when blatant theft has occured so i can see blizzard asking why they should.

Sorry, but Blizzard doesn't do "decoy" trademarks. We found out that Cataclysm would be the new x-pac name about this far before it came out and same for WotLK. Mists of Pandaria will be WoW: MoP (WoW: X4)

i hope its fake or something... Emerald dream is what should be next expansion. Place wth immense lore... not some offtopic joke race... Pandas/pandarens in warcraft were like cows in diablo... easter eggs... Picking pandarens over emerald dream would be as screwed up as was picking trial of fail over azjol nerub (as the worst raid isntance ever vs something that could potentially be even mroe epic than aq) as i said i hope its fake or that IT IS NOT next expansion...

pandas added to wow so Chinese gold farmers boycott the game :P

No, and no one will, unless you explain why Blizzard would fold a subscription based service with 12 million people who pay 15 dollars every freaking month, plus 30 bucks for each expansion, in exchange for a one-off sale of a WcVI:MoP that 5 million people would pay 50 dollar once for. Especially since development costs for the WcIV would probably be higher than for an expansion.
