If you think they (Blizzard) learned anything from the NA patching fiasco? There's a 95% chance that the EU patching will take just as long if not longer.

OMG!!! after the patch it asked me to "Optimize" my game client... it's been about 30minutes and it's only at 4% complete. and I have an 8core 3ghz processor >_>

EDIT: lol once it finally hit 5% it jumped to 100% and started downloading the last part of 5.0.4

Probably should update this post to say that 11th character slot is indeed in this patch.

Haha, some people are really needy aren't they? You've managed almost a year without updates, what's a few extra hours? Go do something else, this obsessing over maintenance extension ain't healthy.

every time a character logs, achievements had to be counted, or mu server, Org (kalimdor) would crash every 2-3 hours stayed in silvermoon just in case "D

After 15:00 Paris time that is.

Game downloaded a new launcher, then optimized itself, counter stayed on 0% for a while and then jumped to 100% (i have WoW on SSD though), dowloaded 460MB and it's ready now.

Update; Seems like all it took was to run the setup as an admin. - odd : o

You must be new to the game. EU gets the patch 1 day later 99,999% of the time. So ofc it's the US servers that are live Wednesday morning...

Sadly yes. How i wish it was the other way around.
