Well that was unexpected. But I hope it's not another rushjob of a expansion.

Will probably be The Broken Isles with Tomb of Sargeras, Zul'Dare, Crestfall, Tel'Abim, Hiji and the rest of the isles.

... So it really will be at Gamescom. Well, guess I'm out for the next expansion. After forking over $170 for this expansion (3x WoD + 1x DD upgrade), I'm not forking over another $50 let alone another $150 for a half baked expansion that's 50-75% as long as any previous one while also being more expensive.

I'm not getting onto the hype train this time. I've been on it since WotLK was announced (I missed the TBC one since I started in TBC), was excited for Cata and even MoP, but now? I'll wait until the next expansion is done before I care to touch it. I don't care what Blizzard reveals at Gamescom. Chances are a good chunk of it will be cut by release or won't be what we expected anyway. I'm not falling for Blizzard's hype trap again. ONLY way I'll get the next expansion at release is if it's free. But this is Blizzard and expansions have gone up about $5 every expansion. It'll probably be $55-60 this time. Even if it came with a "free" 100 boost, I have more alts than I care to have. Blizzard keeps trying to kill off alts. I don't NEED nor WANT another alt. If they pull the "free" boosted toon again, they better do a cheaper version without it. I need another alt like a hole in the head.

I didn't think I would be hyped because of the let down WoD is for me, but I am a little. I hope I'm not sorely let down.

Wonder if this is going to be a good thing, or if it's just going to turn into the same thing Activision did with their yearly Call of Duty releases. Put in the least amount of effort for as little content as possible, all while using "yearly expansion" as a justification for laziness.

That's rather surprising. My wife will be there covering another IP, I'm sure she'll like this news.

I think there is a new mindset in Blizzard, they re working that way for sure. WoWFans will pay for anything.

When Blizzard can't afford to save their expansion announcement until Blizzcon...
