Legion Alpha Live, Wardrobe UI, Artifact Weapon Videos

While I'll admit I was thinking Varian would die, I didn't think Blizzard would do it. I could have sworn during the cinematics panel at Blizzcon, they showed a cinematic that was later in the game (looked like it could be Suramar). So either Varian's not dead and they THOUGHT he was (I.E. Bolvar) ... or Varian was a placeholder in the cinematic with Anduin actually being in it, not his father.

I would have thought it'd be an interesting role reversal to have Anduin leading the Army of the Light and his father playing his second-in-command. It could have been a show of Varian beginning to step back and Anduin forward, but I guess Blizzard is going with the cop out by killing Varian to get Anduin to step up instead. Hopefully it's just a Bolvar situation and we rescue Varian later alive and well albeit a bit worse for wear. Could have sworn there was a mission to rescue someone (not the Tirion one for paladins) so possible Varian is related to that.

Besides, why kill Varian if warriors aren't getting his sword(s) for their artifact. >_> That's just cheap or suggests he's not dead after all. Giving warriors some no name artifacts instead rather than give fury or arms the sword of the late king is a strange move if he is dead.

The undead Grom is interesting. I wonder if Sylvanas had him ressed as a fuck you to Garrosh.

why is Shalamayne not an Artifact, is Anduin really going to wield it? I highly doubt that.

Since Bolvar sees him as a Brother I can see him raising him as a Death Knight.

All the information looks good, till I clicked the drop down spoiler section and gave a slight whimper. I'm seriously disappointed and sad that they're killing Varian off, like seriously. What the fricklefrackle?. Why use him in the cinematic but only to confirm him dead?, it makes no sense but I guess its another thing to add to the amount of annoyances that are to come. But I guess it is neat that Calia Menethil is finally getting some screen time and popping into light, a long with the Grom Hellscream being marked Undead which will only have to be answered once we see more information pop in!.

It all looks good, but i'm slightly leaning back to going horde with seeing Anduin as king >O>. I ain't want no sissy baby as my king.

You are joking right? The entire cinematic was showing that he will die.Let me put it like this,for months now on the legion protagonist lists it shows ANDUIN.However on the cinematic,it says Anduin is at home and its Varian leading the army ,sending a letter to his son.Now ask yourself : how the hell would Anduin come to the broken isles and how he would be a protagonist instead of his father? Today was just a confirmation of the speculations that have been made since the cinematic

Once again, Blizzard proves they have absolutely no idea how to write drama beyond killing characters off.

I can't believe how low resolution some of the Unholy DK artifacts specially compared to the staffs. Hope it gets fixed but I don't believe it will.

Varian almost died in the cinemtic trailer, but survived after dramatic scene. And then he still dies in game? wtf?

He's an Alliance character, death is his only option.

Horde ones don't die though, only go missing to return later.

They said recently they're still figuring out how it'll work with item slots and transmog.
