Emerald Nightmare Opens This Week

World Bosses
The world bosses will begin spawning this week! Killing them allows you to unlock another artifact appearance via Unleashed Monstrosities. Several of them also dropped hidden Artifact appearances in beta.

Mythic+ Dungeons
Mythic+ dungeons open this week, with rewards that scale up along with the dungeon difficulty.

Dungeon

Every dungeon has a fairly forgiving timer you must beat to keep your keystone active.
You still get loot if you don't beat the timer, but your keystone becomes depleted.
As the keystone level increases, mobs in the dungeon do more damage and have more health.
The health and damage modifier is an almost linear increase, starting at 9% for Level 2 and increasing to 100% at Level 10.

Rewards

The max non randomly upgraded item level for rewards will be capped at 850 for the first week.
Rewards come from a chest at the end of the run, ranging from item level 845 at Mythic 2 to 865 at Mythic 10.
This chest contains two pieces of loot for the group, which is a change from beta.
You also get a weekly chest with loot based on your best run for the week, scaling from item level 860 to item level 880 at Mythic 10.
Rewards have a chance to be Warforged or Titanforged, allowing them to potentially scale all the way up to item level 895.
The only lockout on Mythic is the availability of keystones, you can keep doing them as long as someone has an active keystone.

Keystones

Check out Blizzard's official preview for Mythic Keystones.
Keystones have modifiers that make the dungeon more challenging, with more being added as the keystone level increases.
New keystone modifiers appear at Levels 4, 7, and 10.
There is a list of keystone modifier pairs from beta, but it may be outdated.
You can obtain a keystone by completing a Mythic dungeon or completing a Mythic+ dungeon run.
You also can obtain a keystone from your weekly chest, with a level slightly below your best run last week.
Each keystone only works for one Mythic+ dungeon and this is selected randomly upon creation or upgrade of the keystone.
Keystones will only select a dungeon that is unlocked for everyone in the group when it is modified.
Keystones are upgraded when you complete a Mythic+ dungeon, with the amount of the upgrade determined by how much you beat the timer by.
If you don't beat the timer, your keystone will be depleted.
Depleted keystones can still be used to start additional runs, but those runs won't give a loot chest at the end.
If you do beat the timer on a depleted keystone run, your keystone will be upgraded and empowered again, so you can attempt the next difficulty level for loot.

Overflowing - Healing in excess of a target's maximum health is instead converted to a heal absorption effect.
Skittish - Enemies pay far less attention to threat generated by tanks.
Volcanic - While in combat, enemies periodically cause gouts of flame to erupt beneath the feet of distant players.
Necrotic - All enemies' melee attacks apply a stacking blight that inflicts damage over time and reduces healing received.
Teeming - Additional non-boss enemies are present throughout the dungeon.
Raging - Non-boss enemies enrage at 30% health remaining, dealing 100% increased damage until defeated.
Bolstering - When any non-boss enemy dies, its death cry empowers nearby allies, increasing their maximum health and damage by 20%.
Sanguine - When slain, non-boss enemies leave behind a lingering pool of ichor that heals their allies and damages players.
Tyrannical - Boss enemies have 40% more health and inflict up to 20% increased damage.
Fortified - Non-boss enemies have 20% more health and inflict up to 40% increased damage.

Legion PvP Season 1
The first Legion PvP season starts on Tuesday!

Legion PvP seasons will be shorter than they have been in the past.
The Gladiator gear uses Tier 19 models.
Mark of Honor will be available from rated PvP.
Two new arenas were added: Black Rook Hold and Ashamane's Fall.
Season one will reward the Vindictive Gladiator's Storm Dragon

World quests have made ilevel for normal a bit underwhelming. I wonder if the difficulty (combined with the lower than dungeon drop rate) will push people away from normal raids and into either heroic, or mythic+ content. I foresee Blizz increasing gear drop rate on normal raids.

There needs to be a much more detailed or consistent list of what Curse Client features are actually premium features. Cause if the list on MMO-Champ is correct (versus the virtually non-existent list provided in the link) then they've taken the Addon Manager and turned it into a Premium feature, which is not only not-cool but also violates Blizzards addon rules.

To be specific, when 7.1 launches there will be a 9-week Suramar campaign leading up to the opening of Nighthold (done via the quests). So it's going to be 9 weeks from 7.1 launch specifically.

There is a very clear list on the Curse Premium page. Updating addons is free for everyone. Updating them all at once and auto updating are Premium features.

Not really, doing this gives people time to get back into the raiding mindset and get more gear for The Nighthold Raid.. There has been gating of raids in some form all the way back to vanilla.. Be it attunements and or gearing needed for the higher end raids, like Naxx 40 where you had to farm the crap out of the other raids before you even thought about entering..

It's a launch raid. It's in the game right now it's just turned off and they're leaving it turned off for 5+ months to try and stretch out content at the start so it's not all stretched out at the end. This is their way of ending content droughts, by placing them at the beginning. A small 7 boss raid for 5+ months is asinine.

Will Blizzard never learn?

It's bizarre, after the neutered stat squish an expansion ago and an acknowledgement that a future stat squish will be necessary (which actually takes a lot of work and resources away from other parts of the game) that in under a month players who do mythic plus and high-end raiding (all the power to them btw...have no issue with them getting rewarded for their effort even though I'm an LFRer now) will be earning ilvl gear of up to 895 when the expansion started out at just over 700.

This means for 7.1 to offer meaningful rewards the top ilvl will have to be over 1000. I don't think their scaling tech atm will truly be able to compensate for this either to make prior content relevant (though I stand to be corrected on this point).

The ilvl inflation is absurd and actually getting worse. When will Blizz ever learn?

Not only does my WW weapon have 2 Storm slots, I have not seen 1 Storm relic drop since release.

I'm in the same boat with Frost relic. I see them on the loot lists for dungeons but I've never actually seen one drop despite chain running them. Makes me wonder what's up with the drop rate.

Technically Zygor charges an access fee to the guides on their site. The addon is just a tool you can utilize in the game to read/interact with it provided for whatever game they write the guide for. Not really any different than things like Ask Mr Robot premium features or curse client. Probably why they moved to a sub fee va charging a 1 time fee actually.
