Patch 8.3 - Visions of N'Zoth Horde Allied Race - Vulpera
Vulpera are cunning nomadic scavengers capable of turning what they find into opportunities to thrive. Clever and resourceful, the vulpera of Vol’dun have survived amidst the sands for generations. Eager to join the ranks of the Horde, their caravans have departed from the dunes in search of adventure. The serpentine sethrak have taken to subjugating anyone they can as slaves, and the vulpera are an easy target for their machinations. If you’ve taken steps to liberate the vulpera from these overseers, they’ll join the Horde on the battlefield.

Unlocking the Vulpera
To unlock the ability to make a Vulpera, the following achievements must be completed on one character on your account. Once done, you can make a Vulpera on any server.

Classes
The Vulpera Allied Race can be any of these classes:

  • Death Knight (with pre-purchase of Shadowlands)
  • Warrior
  • Hunter
  • Rogue
  • Priest
  • Shaman
  • Mage
  • Warlock
  • Monk

Racials
The Vulpera racial abilities are as follows:

  • Bag of Tricks - Pull your chosen trick from the bag and use it on target enemy or ally. Enemies take [ Greater of {180% of Spell Power} or {180% of Attack Power * pctD * (1 + 0)} ] damage, while allies are healed for [ Greater of {270% of Spell Power} or {270% of Attack Power * pctD * (1 + 0)} ].
  • Rummage Your Bag - Change your chosen tricks. Now where did you put that? 5 sec cast. 5 min cooldown
  • Make Camp - Make a camp at this location. Can only be used outdoors. 5 sec cast. 10 minute cooldown.
  • Return to Camp - Return to your camp. 10 sec cast. 1 hour cooldown
  • Fire Resistance - Reduces fire damage taken by 1%
  • Nose For Trouble - When you first take damage from an enemy, reduce that damage by 5% of your maximum health.
  • Alpaca Saddlebags - Increases the size of your backpack by 8 slots.

When you cast Rummage Your Bag, a small sack will appear in front of you and allow you to customize your Bag of Tricks spell. Based on the flavor text provided upon clicking it, it is clear that this racial will have options to discover to customize the spell further in a manner similar to how the Dark Iron Dwarf Mole Machine racial was able to discover more locations to travel.

Upon creating a Vulpera, they have two different options for Rummage Your Bag to choose from:

  • Corrosive Vial - Splash your enemy with corrosive fluid, dealing [ Greater of {180% of Spell Power} or {180% of Attack Power * pctD * (1 + 0)} ] Nature damage. A good reason not to drop your bag!
  • Healing Vial - Heals a friend for [ Greater of {270% of Spell Power} or {270% of Attack Power * pctD * (1 + 0)} ] Nature. Share the wealth!

Mounts
The Vulpera racial mount is the Caravan Hyena. It is usable by all Horde races upon completion of Allied Races: Vulpera.

People are just whining about anything. Dont like it dont play it. Most mmos have at least one furries or childish race. It doesnt change the content or the quality of the game at all. There's enough races to please everyone just play something else! If a single race make you quit, just quit, people like you wont be miss!

Literally only goblins with fur, snouts, and not suffering from smog-wrinkled skin. Neither disappointed or impressed.

They do. That's what the Fur Marking thing is. It's just incomplete atm.

I'm glad they're not going to be an allied race.

I can't stand the race, but to each their own.

I will make one though just to piss off the whining morons in this thread. The guy who said he will have nothing to do with them, ban them, kick them etc? lol massive troll bait.

Going to find you and hang out next to you as my new Vulpera as much as possible.

Considering you have yet to prove in any way shape or form how they lower the quality of the product for anyone other then yourself i'm going to have to disagree with you. Hell I would much rather play them then Bigger horn Tauren or gray Space goats. And before you spout off about it not being part of US/EU fantasy, there are many fairy tails from old Europe about talking animals, everything from cats to wolves to foxes and bulls (just look at Roman/Greek legend or English/German). So please do explain to me how this is out of the question for western fantasy and while you do explain to me how Orcs, Ogres, and Elves are by that same criteria.

I don't understand what the big deal is. If you don't like a certain race you don't have to play it, and if seeing other people playing them makes you that angry then I don't know what to tell you other than the problem is in your head. Then there are people shouting about something not fitting in the lore, which makes no sense because Blizzard writes the lore. If they want to put a race of gingerbread men in the game then they become part of the lore. This is Blizzard's game, they are the ones who get to say what is part of the story not the players.

This is the trouble with games that have a huge player base I guess. There is always a group of players that are angry and screaming about something.

Newsflash: getting these as a race wont magically make WoW an asian mmorpg or have any of the gameplay issues of the asian MMORPG.

People are just not capable of articulating themselves very well in here, or there ideas are faulty from the jump.

I've reserved a name for my we're-Blizzard-and-good-at-secrets fox race already. It's going to be fun running around as a totally-not-playable-guys-we-swear rogue.

Monkeys? I have no idea. If you're going to say that 'any form of fur/hair styling is human' then okay, sure. I was willing to accept the 'they don't have hair options period' as a better explanation of what was meant.

It is, the original person was excited because natural looking manes and such aren't very common on animal races. They all have a strict hair care regimen.

Considering they will likely be going Horde the only thing they'll be doing in Goldshire is PvP.

Although this begs the question, what's the horde equivalent? (Asking for a friend )
