I'd rather take the unoriginal, yet nice to look at, hypespace travel format than just another loading screen.

You are entitled to your opinion. I liked screens more, I like to look at the good piece of art.

It's not a loading screen, the maps are all on the same layer. It's just a clever way of hiding that you're taxi flying to the zone. So potato computers will get there the same time as the rest.

Think of it like flying between zones in TBC through the nether, but with a fancy visual.

OK looks cool and all - But does it have to last so damn long?

And can you mute the loud noises or is the game actually loading?

Reminds me of how TERA does it's portals. Just a short animation of a mount taking you to a gate followed by an animation of inside the gate until the next area loads.

It's a flight path, so yes. And it's not actually loading. It's flying you from Oribos to the zone.

It's beautiful, I just wish it wouldn't be as long.

Would rather it just be a loading screen, at least then the length can be mitigated if running on ssd or whatever.

Instead of loading screens, this is awesome!
