As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Q: How do I get into the raid zone?
A: In Oribos, Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade IV in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)

Q: What character should I use to test the raid?
A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players’ effective level to 60 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.

Q: How long does testing last?
A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we’re satisfied that we’ve received that information for a given boss, we’ll be shutting down testing. Usually this takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but there are no guarantees.

We appreciate you taking the time to test our content and look forward to reading your feedback.

Sweet, it looks on track for the October 27th release date. Pretty obvious at this point that it will release around then.

Almost every expansion was close to 4 months released to the day when they went into public beta.

May sense theme wise as well for that release time. Halloween and Day of the dead around that time.

That would be great, as it would be almost 2 months ahead of my estimation. If it is ready, of course.

I rather lean towards November 10th. With your date they would have to rush/delay either season 1 or Mythic race, since it cross with Thanksgiving week.

Well if there is one thing we know about WoW expansions is they are never truly ready haha.

Probably the week before then on the 20th which also works.

Could this mean enemy NPC's get a field of vision ?! And we can sneak past them if careful?

Would't that be more into september than october tho? Although a day of the dead release would be pretty cool... Plus the earlier it's ready, the better hehe,

The companion app seems to no longer work. When you try and login it says "Please check for a newer version of the app." No newer version on app store.

Hmm, this testing is a bit earlier than I would have guessed

BfA raid testing started Jun 14, 2 months before launch.

The only info I can find from Legion raid testing was around jul

I would rather compare stuff to Legion Alpha/Beta. BfA testing was huge mess, they were still doing huge class changes even in late Beta.

Legion alpha was long, like 4 months if you take the month out that they shut down, because they reworked like every spec almost. But legion and bfa had very similar beta lengths, just days apart.

A small part of me wants SL to come out on November 17th because they would probably do a worldwide release so it would actually release on the 16th which is my birthday. However, I would rather have it release earlier than this, so as long as it is before November 17th, I'm game!

Yep! You can also look back at when the games expansions when into public beta and it is very close to 4 months for each one from that to release, I will be honest while there are still glaring issues right now this Beta is further a long than even Legion was at this point which is a really fucking good sign that they will have time to hit the classes that need the biggest changes. Apparently the next major beta patch is going to be a very big one so hopefully we see some good stuff in it.

October 27th or November 3rd are not happening. One is during Hallow's End they won't have leveling competing with that event. November 3rd is darkmoon faire, no way they grace us with xp buff while leveling.

They won't care about world events when they choose a release date. They can just postpone the event if it contradicts with the release date, they did it in the past.

True, but I dont seen Hallow's End being postponed to late November. Maybe 1 week earlier tho.

How about we invite some more people to the beta... 1 day before this raid-testing?
From what I can tell there's still only streamers and world-first/mdi people on there... plus like 5 randoms they invited last week.
