What. I'm sorry but where has it been established that the Shadowlands will just be destroyed if the Jailer wins?
Fall doesn't have to mean destroyed, fall can just mean conquered.

It has not because a fall is not destruction. Also this comes from a character so it is subjective and may not be accurate.
Hm, I wonder if people will be proven right in them just giving a couple days/a week's notice until prepatch drops, or if we're 1 month away from it at least.

They haven't exactly stopped making the regular cinematics... on the contrary.

I'm not sure about conquered either considering each of the zones has someone directly working with the Jailer and their forces to their own benefits e.g. Bastion: The Forsworn, Revendreth: Their ruler, Ardenweald: Mueh'zala and Maldraxxus: Kel'thuzad and his house. If anything it's Oribos that will fall.

I mean most uses of "fall" in Warcraft lore it's been used colloquially for the destruction or loss of armies, societies, cities and countries. There have been some uses for the corruption or turning of characters but I can't see how there would be a "turning/corruption" of the Shadowlands if the Jailer won since they all use Anima and are all forces of Death. True but Blizzard does use these shorts to make absolute statements on Lore so if we have a character stating "If we fail, the shadowlands will fall." they intend it to be taken as defacto statement that the whole of the realm of the undeath will be destroyed if the Jailer "wins".
Then again they could be talking about something unrelated to the Jailer but then that would be a pretty poor story thread to establish before the expansion is even out. That there is something worse than the Jailer to contend with and is known about but we waste time appeasing covenants and messing with the Jailer's forces.
That animation style is so amazing. I'm glad they're doing a whole series in it.
I don't like it at all. Not a little bit. I noticed it in GW2 first and I never started liking it.
I even prefer ingame graphics cinematics over it. It's just a really low effort animated comic book in my eyes

Laurel D. Austin literally illustrates dozens of unique images for each of these and you're going to call it "low effort?" Fuck off. People like you have no idea what kind of effort goes into art.

I've never liked the art style, either, but Blizzard still does proper cinematic scenes. Maybe not for the events that deserved such treatment — *coughTeldrassilcough* — but it still happens.
