Sweet Jesus, this woman is a drug addict. Drugs are the devils work. It is no wonder she attempted to sell her child in a parking lot. They should send her and her children to church for an exorcism. Just to be safe.

I'm pretty accepting of the fact that people screw up.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
Meh, there are more important issues than this to be concerned about. Live and let live, we are only human.

The Washington Post did a big article on this last year. Also, 60min did a piece on the same thing. Children being left in cars was the main focus. The thing is that it happens to everyone. Even very successful people.

Its kind of become an epidemic esp with the introduction of smart phones. People are just way more distracted now a days than ever before.
Well that isn't actually true, and your blanket statement doesn't actually account for the nuances. However many times we actually don't know the circumstances of many cart accidents, or rather ALL the details of what happened leading up to it.
But, if you look online when someones mistake say texting while driving leads to to the death of someone else, yeah their "MISTAKE"doesn't go over well either, especially if they lived.
Case and point, Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of the MTV show Jackass died in a car crash, after it was confirmed he had been drinking before hand, and lets just say not A lot of people had especially online showed a lot of sympathy for him. In fact there were a lot of jokes made about Ryan Dunn and his last name as it related to the inferno that followed after his car was engulfed in flames.

Uh well speaking for myself I am a guy who wouldn't leave a kid in a shopping cart for 40mins, I am also a guy saying that if you shit out kids, without enough brain matter to have a plan for raising them, then maybe you should figure it the fuck out.
This isn't one of those unforeseen circumstances, where, she it couldn't have been avoided, It's a kid not a a smartphone, and if you can't be bothered to give a shit about that over yourself and making shitty excuses, don't then whine, cry and bitch about how much you care about them, especially when society at large might consider taking them away from you.
Personally I am more sick of kids going missing, or getting hit by cars and shit, because parents forgot they're number 1 priority when giving birth to a kid is being responsible for it.

It's a pretty simple mistake, being a new baby as well she has likely been pretty worn out dealing with a Toddler and a Baby.
I say it is simply an honest mistake by a normal person, The kid is fine still so there really needs to be no over-reaction.
Though being the internet and the idiots that dwell in it I can sense some people are getting severely triggered over this somehow.

You are mighty judgmental to say someone else has a brain matter issue.
