Been looking into getting new monitors for a few months now and I stumbled across these 2 options, considering going to get 2 today.

Dont get a 1080p panel on a big screen.
If you go 27-32 inch you need 1440p.
See anything better?

Was hoping to stay under $300.00 per monitor (getting 2).
Right now I'm using a 21" HP Pavilion 22BW and a borrowed one from my work, a Samsung SyncMaster S24B240, 23" I think.
Why not get one really awesome monitor, then think if you want an average one still, and you could make it the HP?
Trust me, I used to go cheap on monitors, never again. I spent $1,200 after tax on my current monitor when it came out (you can get the same thing with other benefits and newer technology now for HALF or less than that price!) and I am sold forever. Get one REALLY nice monitor and if you really really need extra? Get some lower-end ones. Your main monitor should be tons of fun to game on, that's the best advice I ever took about this and can give.
