I don't understand this tbh. The USA is a massive country and the Democratic party is an establishment with centuries of history. The political class should be large enough that you can afford to bench anyone who has any substantial dirt on them and replace them instantly. If not, then the party has failed to nurture a future generation of politicians to take over the departing ones.

How has this absurdity still not reached a point where people feel embarrassed to make that argument? Surely the ridicule has been piling on pretty high for long enough that it's starting to seep in that a guy admitting to sexual harassment and sexual assault in a half dozen different venues, one of which only notable because of the vocabulary he used and not so much that it was a leaked tape, is far beyond that line of reasoning.
