Also, when people say the word Nazi is overused, they are actually refering to the politics in the USA. The left party in the US (Dems) basically calls anyone that doesn't support all their social engineering stuff- a "nazi" or a "fascist."

The Nazi rounded up and exterminated over 6 million people, calling someone that doesn't support your agenda a "nazi" is a real stretch there. I would say out of touch with reality and ignorant of history as well....

That's what they mean by saying the word "Nazi" is overused. I don't really read comment sections on news articles, so I don't know the "climate" around them. But if I view this through the scope of Reddit/MMO-C and forums like this, I really struggle to get behind what this article is trying to say.

When people upvote right-wing stuff (whether extreme or not) I see a lot of comments about how it is all bots, and scripts and there is barely anyone actually supporting this shit and people have the bot to fake support. Then I see this turn around of.... oh my god look the nazis are EVERYWHERE in some kind of us against the world our backs are against the wall moral panic.

It is either one or the other, and I'm a bit more firmly in the ballpark of botting and scripting, then tons of support for extremeist shit.

Also one other thing, I know people who upvote the most extreme shit they read simply to point to it, and be like oh my god look they are the absolute worst. Stuff like that was getting organized in a few discords.
