I spent 3 hours one night, and 8 another night. After that, I put it in my "maybe later" category.

2, still took almost 5 hours....and yes, it was fking boring....
3, not worth it...the mount looks awesome but the movement is...so dodgy, I never using it...
Actually, there are some "trap" doorways that when you go through, put you somewhere else in the maze and block the path back. I don't know if those change or are always set. Considering I triggered one south of my purple rune room, and avoided that pathway and never found it again, it is probably set.

Not a bug, but a sure sign you fell into the first category

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

    Or

    3. People who realised it was a tiny little maze, and found it was implemented not as well as it could've been and thus found it frustrating but bearable

Not everything can be put into

or you read what the poster said above you.. seriously your posts generally are just "lawl you don't get it, you must obviously be a bad or hate the game".. Get over yourself and learn to discuss things like a grown man. People can be wrong, and you can say that without sounding like a condescending person.

And yes I know you will play the "lawl irony" card, but while adorable, doesn't really work.

when I did the maze back when it was first discovered, I tried using the map addon and I hate it , it was really confusing for me. Decided to draw the layout myself and it got super easy

What specific issues did you have ? I did in the first week and there were no implementation issues at all.

Sounds like your category #3 is just my category #1 PLUS some whinging

Anyone else hate it as much as I did?
At first I tried the always go right or always go north approach, but I failed at that method pretty hard. So I did the pen and paper method, which highlighted my inability to draw boxes and arrows in a way I could understand after it got a little size to it.
But eventually I got the process down and it wasn't that bad. Some in the guild claimed they went through it in 15 mins. Since each map is different it's hard to call bS on it.

Took me about 2 hours to locate and map each rune and orb. Once I'd done that collecting them was a piece of cake which took about 5 minutes. I guess, you could wander around and do it in a random way which can go between 30 minutes if you are extremely lucky and 6 hours if you are not. I've undertaken a safe "pen and paper" route, and this is how mine looks:

I was lucky AF. Took me ~1h and 45 min running around mindlessly, trying to navigate on the fly. I didn't want to bother with addons and maps by pen an paper.
Cool mount, but would not do it again.
Does anyone else find it ironic that, as your virtual character gains experience, wealth and social stature, your reality character is losing the exact same things at the same rate?

exactly, you can't stand that people have some constructive feedback of the game, thus you call it whinging ok!

Let's just say that the whole maze idea was implemented a lot better by other games and in other ways than WoW did. I know people tell me to not take you seriously, I guess now I can see why

    Back on topic;

I absolutely loved the maze. Could it have been done better? Ofcourse it could. But alas, this is what we have, and it's still decently enjoyable. It's not hairtearingly frustrating, it's amusing at best, and confusing at the worst moments. Especially when you need to realise that some rooms block you of, or others loop into new floors. Knowing that helps a lot.

I mapped the place on my own, was done in 30-40 mins, can't see why are ppl making such a fuzz about it?

Mapping skills have nothing to do with a teleporter leaving you in a room with the way back blocked, something blizzard themselves admitted if you dig far enough. I am glad for you that you had an easy time but dont go around condescendingly making fun of and accusing people over your assumptions and lucky RNG

I thought it was great! Something new and unique. Took just shy of 2 hours.

Constructive feedback = when I did X, Y happened - it would be cool if Z could happen instead, or at least maybe W.

    Whinging = X sucked.

    Hope that clarifies the difference.

I guess you would be right if it was actually constructive feedback. not just "I THINK I DID IT RIGHT AND IT TOOK ME AGES, OBVIOUSLY IT MUST BE A BUG OR BLIZZARDS FAULT" Which makes his assessment of #1 + whinging pretty apt.

Yes hello I wandered about like a loon and enjoyed myself. Helped I was watching shit on youtube while I did it but it was an entertaining time killer, and I did take some kind of mental notes of where about I'd been, but really I was just shit shooting into the dark most times. I'm sure I went down the same route 3 times in a row in a fit of absurd brain deadness.
I have eaten all the popcorn, I left none for anyone else.

Please quote me word for word where I said it sucked. Please do! I am genuinely curious. Ow wait.. you can't, because as always you read things you want to read. Next post "omg it wasn't about you! I like totally meant other people".

In the meantime, I'll enjoy the maze and still think that it could've been implemented a lot, lot better. Which according to your internal translator means that I think it sucks

And where did I say that? Please quote me exactly where I did that. Because you can't

It's things like this that have me convinced that WoW is an unethical psychological experiment to find the tiniest carrot to biggest stick ratio people are willing to put up with. Endless grinds heaped onto endless grinds are one thing, but this is pure torture.

What's the point of Blizzard implementing something that is supposed to be endless if you can complete it?

It's a mount..... aka optional. These are literally two of around 340-350 mounts that are obtainable ingame that require you to do this kind of work.

I'd love for you to explain how making not even 1% of obtainable mounts require some puzzle work is "unethical".

It's designed for the intent of those who like puzzles. Similar to the Riddlers Mind Worm. Like myself. Hell one of the two is just clicking pages around the world 8 times.

The other requires really easy puzzles. So they aren't even difficulty or time consuming to obtain.

Hell rep mounts take more time to grind out than these and there's even a saber/raptor that takes 20 days to get because you have to turn in a daily that can only be done once a day.

And you think these two are time consuming?
