I think you might have misunderstood. I was saying that due to everyone linking the text in the book to try to make it sound like the author lied, when in actuality the author is just saying that some of the interviews he is reporting as accurate contain lies because the WH is such a mess.

The prologue reportedly includes the following:

Plenty of fake news stories come out about Obama, but it's easy to determine they are full of shit. They probably think this is apples to oranges when the reality is that they are just retarded.

If you view political parties as singular factions, American politics is not a discussion about the issues a country is facing or the direction to take in resolving them. Ours is a discussion between insanity and sanity. I mean this literally...

Our politics is not couched in a discussion on the merits of issues, but literally on the soul of the country itself as a capable, self-governing body. For those who vote Republican, their interests are not in capital P politics, but rather in "politics".

So while a Democrat is far and beyond just as likely to be useless in political discourse (see the outcome of Jimmy Carter, George McGovern, Hillary Clinton...), their politic is one that at a minimum is interested in governing. A vote that has no interest in governing is doing precisely what is expected of them when found guilty of hypocrisy and contradiction.

The book overall? Don't think so but specific things and quotes attributed within the book, yes. CNN had a reporter from WaPo on yesterday talking about a quote attributed to him in a place he's never been on the day his daughter was born. The guy did some investigating and he thinks the quote was from someone with a similar name.
