I mam not sure what you are talking about but we are talking about death of pregnant women and young children due to lack of health care. I am not sure what this has to do with anything other than our abysmal failing health care system which is failing those less fortunate even more as more people move to cities. Black people or fatherlessness has nothing to do with countless hospitals closing their maternal / children unit or closing altogether.
Texas has a 12% black population and it's the #1 state when it comes to maternal deaths almost as bad as Mexico. So health care not race feel free to make a race thread if that is the argument you seek.

The poverty rate among African Americans is high so it will affect them more but the US has one of the highest childhood poverty rates in the developed world. From pregnancy death rates to after they are born poor people are at high risk of dying. The argument can be made that they shouldn't have children but unless we plan to sterilize them all it's a health care issue the US needs to address. This is why we need major health care reform and the answer is not more money but reform because we are spending the money it's just going to the wrong people (rich corporate CEOs).
US also has the highest maternal death rate out of the wealthy nations.
i.e US healthcare system is abysmally shit.
I mean it's the greatest nation etc. etc. <insert patriotic propaganda indoctrination frothing at the mouth dribble fest here>
As noted in the article, this is clearly related to increased rates of prematurity, not subpar childhood medical care. Virtually all children in poverty in the US qualify for Medicaid. Both maternal and childhood outcomes are strongly linked to maternal obesity, diabetes, substance abuse, all of which are substantially on the rise in the US compared with other wealthy countries.
The fact that ultimate health outcomes are worse in unhealthy people who engage in unhealthy lifestyle choices is obvious.

Send me a picture of you wandering around in a middle eastern country, because you feel safer there. lol.
However we both know that will never happen. Only picture we'd have would be you on your knees with an orange jump suit on getting ready to get your head whacked off.

lmao he quotes texas,... and guess what texas is filled with? the fattest people in the world. you dont think that translates? w/e lets not make it a race issue, when it clearly is a race issue. find me the numbers of asians/whites then find me the numbers of blacks/hispanics/latinos child birth deaths. TELL ME IT AINT A RACE ISSUE. only to a warped mind that refuses to see the evidence.

did you just say arab nations are great and usa media is the reason why people dont think so? i like you, you special.
No I didn't. The original quote was "some Arab countries". Thusly implying, not all of them. However, I forgive you for your ignorance. Some people are less fortunate.

If that is what you actually believe happens to people that go to the middle east then your countrie's media sure as hell won over you.
And yes, it won't happen. I don't like traveling and if I ever would there are some places I am simply not interested in visiting because of the countries huge flaws. Some of those are Arab countries, one is the US.
The most difficult thing to do is accept that there is nothing wrong with things you don't like and accept that people can like things you don't.
not quite. new york is about 18% black, while texas is about 12%. 50% more is not twice...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Texas
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demogr...w_York_(state)
unless you mean the city in which i could cherry pick a city in texas with a better black % im sure....
then you have this factor in 2005. 13% hispanic in NY while 34% hispanic in Texas. that more then makes up for the little 6% difference in black population.
wish people would educate themselves better instead of listening to talking points cause it feels good. we have to stop doing what feels good and do the right thing. the right thing here is singling out the high risk groups and educating them. if you cant even do that then you refuse to help. quit being part of the problem.
