I'm actually kind of excited to resub and start leveling with the increased time it takes. Did the updated questing come out yet? Or is that only in BfA, because I may just wait for that, because it sounds really cool to me.

Most people who play this game have lost sight of what an MMO truly is. You're supposed to enjoy progressing through an online world.

You just want to level to 110 in a few hours so you can hit end-game.

I love all the people calling the leveling a "grind" now.

So let me get this straight? You can't handle a "leveling grind" but you're just fine with running the same 8 dungeons at 110. Grinding AP. Doing the same 3 raids on 4 different difficulties. Grinding shit WQs and rares?

110 is:

Grind same Dungeons on 4 different difficulties.
Grind same Raids on 4 different difficulties.
Grind shit WQs and Emissaries.
Grind shit rares.
Grind Artifact Power.
Grind Argunite for a RNG token.


Wake up to yourselves. Try making some friends and enjoying leveling a character together. Fight your crippling depression.

How the hell is 7.3.5 leveling a grind? Did you guys level pre-wotlk?

Even then it wasn't a grind and it certainly isn't now when it's still faster than it was in the past.

I just got naked on my level 30 and it still took less than 10 seconds to down a mob, Just to make sure that it wasn't just low level I also hopped on a level 92 and did the same thing. STILL ONLY TOOK ME 10 SECONDS!

So it takes 1-3/4 Hours to level from 100-110... I think not. If I can get a level in a night playing 2-3 hours a night I'm doing good. Maybe 2 if I hit some huge huge quests and get lucky.

It's called invasions, you should try them.

Not going to bother after playing the PTR. It's funny watching guildies be all enthusiastic in the beginning and then when they get to level 30 they start losing the will to carry on.

It's actually the most fun I've had leveling in a long time. Usually the grind was just running around 1 shotting things waiting to get capped. Now it reminds me of the fun I used to have leveling way back during BC and early Wotlk. Can't just no brain it all. But to each their own.

How are my feelings hurt? You literally admitting to digging up your account because you couldn't keep your feelings in check. I'd love to see these people spend 5 minutes in a game like FF11 or Everquest when they were current. WoW ain't got nothing on them when it comes to grindy and tedious leveling.

tbh you don't even need to mention other MMOs... It surprises me how people like OP have even managed to level in Wotlk (or even earlier), which was A LOT harder than it is now... I mean at least in 7.3.5 you still don't need to buy food/water and you still have like almost endless survivability.

As someone who started in Wrath I found it easy back then personally.

Can't say I felt the need to stop and eat much though.

However that's kind of a bit skewered on my end because I'd just come from FF11 which compared to WoW back in 2008 was hell to level in still.

I mean, it is a grind by very definition. That said... yeah, no. People shouldn't be comparing this to games known for being grindy.

It's merely slightly slower than what we had. The only people this is going to be significantly longer for are people on Ironman characters, which is a good thing for that challenge.

I have 12 x 110lvl chars... but still some only for mage tower and mythic+ cos wanna do allied race...

They increased mob HP and damage as well. They lowered how much XP quests give. For 1-60, they increased how much EXP is needed to level up. Heirlooms were nerfed in terms of stats.

Overall, it's being blown way out of proportion. There are certain areas not properly tuned, though. It's apparently very brutal in WoD, for example. Then there's dungeons, where normal mode bosses have more HP than heroic bosses.

Edit: Front Page shows MoP and WoD being adjusted for the next patch.

I only make alts to go through quests/zones/storylines now, anyway. Not gonna take another alt through until ALLIED RACES ARE A THING. Blizz was retarded releasing this scaling patch without a fucking REASON to do it.

Nah they also increased the XP needed and buffed mob health. I think zone scaling plus mob health increase is all they should've done.

For some people the novelty of the oh so exciting new changes to leveling will wear off a lot quicker than others.

Gameplay styles dicate how quickly.
Amongst other reasons of course as well.
