What you are saying is basically just 'Congress should always do exactly what the President wants', at which point you could just get rid of it altogether.

Your simple story is biased. I don't know who you're trying to convince here. If you were to look at the details you would see there was a bipartisan bill. There are republicans who are siding with the democrats on this as well. Did you forget what happened 4 days ago already? The executive branch bears responsibility here as well since they were not clear on what they would accept. There is plenty blame to go around. But keep telling yourself that simple story to avoid cognitive dissonance if you want to.

There is no bill. And the people pushing for this Bi-partisan compromise are Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake who cant even win a primary in 2018. That isn't Bipartisan. And this DACA issue has nothing to do with the CR and keeping the gov open. The democrats are using it to hold the American people hostage over amnesty for illegal aliens.

Republicans voted to fund the government. Democrats voted to close it. Republicans and the majority of the country do not want DACA without pre-conditions or we will be in the same place we are in 10 years when the next wave of illegals brings their children. I don't think it is unreasonable for America to grant DACA amnesty in exchange for lower immigration, the end of the incentive to cross illegally which is chain migration and the end of the lottery. Those are mainstream positions, its what Trump wants and its what the Democrats don,t want because that is the end of importing Democrat voters.

Many of them have. That's why this issue isn't so black and white and why even many in the GOP don't want the DACA killed, especially if it's trading the DACA for the border wall. The citizenship process is a bureaucratic nightmare.

They cant put a budget forward because they don't have 60 votes in the senate again our system requires the minority party to have input unless you garnish a super majority. The Democrats did it to Bush the Republicans did it to Obama and now the Democrats are doing it to Trump. The 60 vote threshold must be eliminated so the party in power can govern
