Yea, crushes are usually part of adolescence. As an adult, I think they’re useless. It’s like bottled up infatuation that just gets weird, because one puts this person on a pedestal without really even knowing them. Basically projecting their romantic fantasies on them. It’s just bad. You find a girl/guy attractive, then go talk to them, you may find out you don’t like them after they speak lol.
