All the people present there are SpaceX employees. The stream is hosted right outside their control center, which is located in the main production facility at their headquarters.

Center core confirmed lost. Audio was a bit choppy, but it sounds like it ran out of fuel, or the igniter for the engines, so only one of the three planned engines lit up. It hit the ocean at about 300 mph.

They weren't planning to reuse any of today's boosters anyway. So they pushed it to the limit and got a lot of data to be used in the future.
