Why would the Tea Party grant more privilege to Donald Trump than Barack Obama?

The ballooning federal budget deficit under President Donald Trump will force the U.S. to borrow more than $1 trillion this year and risks worsening the frenzy behind the global sell-off in stock markets.

The budget deal Senate leaders reached late Wednesday would add nearly $300 billion in government spending over two years and push the deficit higher. Even beforehand, Bank of America Corp. senior U.S. economist Joseph Song warned in a report that the federal deficit was on track to exceed 5 percent of gross domestic product by 2019, by far the largest for the economy while at full employment since World War II.

That is “exactly the opposite of what the economic textbooks say lawmakers should be doing,” Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics Inc., said in an email. “Deficit financed tax cuts and spending increases in a full-employment economy will result in more Fed tightening and higher interest rates.”

The combined impact on the deficit of the Republican tax cuts and the spending deal over the next two years will likely exceed the $580 billion President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus added in 2009 and 2010 during the depths of the recession.

Feels like fiscal conservatives have excercised nothing but bad faith since the New Deal.
Was you freaked out the last 8 years when it shot up over 9 Trillion?

Everyone was, thankfully there were government programs that helped stimulate the economy and narrow the deficit. What if I told you could eliminate the deficit with higher taxes and have a higher GDP growth rate?

Pretty sure people were freaked out which is why the deficit kept shrinking under Obama. And how about we do some analysis over where that debt came from eh?

Whining about debt =/= pointing out that Republicans are raging hypocrites for increasing debt far more than Democrats do, after they whine about the debt under Democrats.

Again, please do some analysis that's more than paper deep to actually contribute to the conversation.

Liberals don't complain about debt, they complain about irresponsible economics.

Debt isn't inherently bad, as republicans liked to claim it was two years ago. What is bad is giving 1.5 trillion in tax cuts that will harm our economy as pure debt.

You're talking about two different things, and zenkai is intentionally misinterpreting you. You're talking about yearly deficit (as he know), he's being dishonest and talking about total deficit.

...that's the national debt. No one talks about it as "total deficit."

Yes! Yes, that's exactly what happened. Sorry, but not everyone only subscribes to one way of thought and that line of thinking is the only one. When something bad happens, no matter under what leadership it may be under, people get pissed as that's the normal human response.

Goes up under Dems? People get pissed.
Goes up under Reps? People get pissed.

That's the normal thing for people to do, and yet for some reason right now you think because Reps are doing it currently that it's okay and need a ton of "whataboutism" on how someone else did it too and that magically makes it okay. Difference here is Reps are adding to it for no real reason. We cut a check to people that nowhere need it under the pretense that they'd give it to the people that do.

You're the one that got bamboozled because you're insanely gullible, so stop trying to throw blame elsewhere and just accept you are part of the problem.
