Is Thalryssa Grand Magistrix now?

After Elisande's defeat in the Nighthold and the Nightborne reuniting and joining the Horde, has Thalryssa taken the mantle of Grand Magistrix or is there a reason she chooses not to take the title? Would that make Valtrois First Arcanist?

Garrosh was not the only one to hold the title of Warchief, Elisande was.

Not quite the same imo, the titles of Warchief and Grand Magistrix being a bit different. As far as I know from the lore Elisande was the only Grand Magistrix, whereas Warchief gets passed on. While you can have a bad Warchief, there was only one tyrannical Magistrix (for 10,000+ years at that). So sure, Thalyssra or someone else could take the title and hope to set a better example, or they could dissolve as a means to differentiate themselves from their past.

Do we know for sure that Elisande was a bad ruler before Legion? IIRC she saved a lot of people by erecting that barrier over Suramar.

It would have been better to overthrow that title with the founding of the new Horde already. It never made sense that Thrall wanted to creat a peaceful Horde but still called himself the Warchief.

Regent is a perfectly fine title for a chief of state, and there have been regents who ruled for quite a long time, like Miklos Horthy or Francisco Franco. It is a title that implies political power.

First Arcanist does not. It is equivalent to a real-life country being led by CEO Donald Trump or Colonel Vladimir Putin. Sure they are a CEO and a colonel respectively and may be even called that informally but that is not their title as chief of state - and Thalyssra would need one.

urm, sorry but there are no associated status to the rank of a 'First Arcanist', since its a fictional title, as in Arcanist, Arcane user. So as first arcanist, we can make its status whatever we wish, hell important lore characters already refer to her as the title with some degree of importance and know she's the representative of her people.
