Well its been a while and not exactly the same but Prohibition didn't go so well. I can see the push back from law abiding gun users being strong and an increase in the criminal element relating to guns to rise.

I think at this point gun control in the US is a dead issue. So instead of talking about this, both democrats and republicans should pass out psychology books on how to cope with mass shootings. Because that is going to be the norm in the US for the foreseeable future.

I really don't care about those other countries, mainly because it is wrong to compare them to the USA. The USA produces quite a massive amount of firearms. That alone makes the situation not even remotely similar. Not to mention the 2nd Amendment is baked into our culture as well as individuality. You aren't going to convince a majority of Americans to bend over for the government and surrender their arms just because a handful of emotional half-wits don't understand gun control will literally solve nothing.

This is exactly what gun-rights supporters expect, and they are fine with it. It's an inevitable result of the desire to allow people the freedom to own guns. They asked for this.

The problem are not the laws. There are plenty of laws against what is being done.

The problem is that people are not held accountable for their actions, or the actions of those they are responsible for. And that is not only for gun laws, but any law.

If this person doing the shooting is under 18, then the parents should be held just as accountable as the shooter.

You have to be 18 to purchase/own a gun, unless the parent/guardian permits it. The moment that parent/guardian permits it, they should be held accountable to any action that under aged individual takes with the weapon.
