Don't be hoodwinked by the impressive cinematic and superficial race changes(which are mostly re-skins of current models). It is just a minor one before the next major expansion. Looking at current developments and previous presentations, there really is nothing much. Plus Ion is still in charge. It is still gonna be an rng-fest like they've already indicated and raid or die design philosophy. And yes, PvP is still gonna be completely rotten. So don't get your hopes too high up.

Ah yes, judging an expansion on at least 20% of the information that's been providing as well as an alpha version of the game which you haven't played. Brains right here.

Their main focus is HS and Overwatch now. But they know WoW still has a remaining base of hardcore fans. So just throw in an expansion with minimal resources devoted and superficial gimmicks(re-skinned races) and these fans will still buy it. This is still profitable for them.

BC was just a filler expansion cause it had us fighting foes that didnt matter, we would fight them all again later, os yeah its just filler expansion, so was wotlk, it was just filler because it gave us the first version of dalaran and we went to dalaran again, also so was vanilla since they upgraded its zones in BC so the zones were all just placeholder until the real ones were made, filler.

lol no its not, you know they have seperate teams right? i love how you say its their main focus like there is some rule a company can only have 100 members and they go "sorry guys we need more people on hearthstone, we need to move some people from wow"
also other then diablo or starcraft, hearthstone is prob their SMALLEST dev team, as hearthstone is a card game, not a very mechanically hardcore one at that, making cards is really easy, just setting up new mechanics is the hard part, other then that it is mostly card design and art. they 100% have a card creator at their place that they just put the parameters in and it makes it a card.

There main one was the burning legion and it took them from the Burning Crusade until Legion to actually finish the story with 5 filler expansions where they made it look like the burning legion didnt exist. And the Lich King story is the other big story. We need to advance that as well. Being lazy and making up stuff that wasnt in the original lore just to stretch out the main stories just so they have new content is what most people are against.

Additionally BFA looks to be PVP centered with very little PvE content which is a dumb idea because 90% of the WoW players couldn't give a shit about PVP

Seems pretty simple really - the new pve content of BFA (besides raids and such, which are a given), islands and warfronts, doesn't really hold a candle to those of legion: M+, WQ, artifact weapons, legendaries etc. Sure some stay but naturally saying "we're keeping XYZ" is less exciting than "we're adding XYZ", and it leads to this filler labeling.
Even something seemingly minor like getting various skins for your legendary weapon (most prominently mage tower, but from other sources as well) seems like a lost feature without a parallel. Basically it feels like in rather typical fashion, the pendulum is going to swing too hard in the other direction in response to the "Legion is alt unfriendly / offspec unfriendly / too much to do" whines.

If MoP was a filler xpac, it was the best filler ever. I wasn't a fan of the panda shit either but arguably cannot be denied that it had lots of content, lore, lots of love from the design team & great pvp. It is the last xpac imo that you feel a sense of the devs really giving it their all to make something awesome regardless of public opinion. Plus it had the legendary Jeremy Soule (guild wars, elder scrolls) to make its music. 10/10

That said, Jaina is a wouldbang/10 so BfA is #worth, not really looking forward to another xpac of D3 classes but ehh what else are we gonna play..

WoD was the only filler expansion and it's only because it lasted so long and only had 2 proper tiers.

On top of that, there was nothing to do. BFA will still have WQs, Mythic +, 3 tier raids, and Azerite farming over WoD.
