I better if my life is in danger. Some will react and think about until later. It would be a sad thought for sure. But I do not think I would feel guilty, just sad it had to go down like that. My goal is it would only be a last thing and other steps would be taken to avoid it is possible. If the attacker is not armed, best to retreat and use pepper spray if necessary. I would only use my firearm if the attacker is also armed or has knocked me down to the ground and starts to beat on me.
Yes, I made my gun licence two years ago.
No, because I am not a hunter or someone who shoot for sport. You can't get one for self-defense outside of very exceptional cases here. I wouldn't want one either.
They make small safes which have a combination locked on a pad, on the case and also, some which you use with a remote unlock-er like for your car. Shooting a firearm takes some practice, wear ear protection, safety glasses and make sure to grip it firmly to avoid limp wrist'in. Which can hurt your wrists and also cause a semi-auto fail to reject the spent round. Some people have to go down to a .22 cal to shoot. Lot less recoil.

Sounds like you answered your own question.

Of course you can. I have some awesome ear protection muffs which my son bought me last year for my birthday. They fricken rock on cutting down the sound. Has a adjusting wheel you can use and also you can talk and hear a normal conversation and it will automatically shut down the firearm noise it makes.

I need a permission in my country sadly. It would be good idea to have it tho.
Yeah, I bought my own when I turned 21
Good to see you are still using my quote. Only you need to correct the AR-14. Should be a M-14 in semi-auto mode if you can get one. And the AR-15 can be a very nice home defense rifle. Lightweight and adjustable stock, shorter then most rifle, so easier to maneuver around corners in a building and is very accurate. Esp with a laser sight on it, equipped with a mounted flashlight. I do not own one however. But shot my son's several times.

Made? You mean obtained it?
Poll is missing: "No, I do not live in the USA"
No, I do not own a gun. I pay municipal taxes that fund a non-militarized, competent, local police force, so I don't feel the need to have a weapon for home defense. I do not hunt and I do not find appeal in sport shooting. I have never owned a firearm, I have never lived in a household that contained a firearm. My lifetime experience with firearms is an afternoon target shooting at the ranch of my wife's uncle during a visit in 2014. I've fired 3 bullets and have not once hit what I was aiming at.
No, I'm not an american
The poll should add "how old are you?"
My guess is that if you don't own a gun, you are young.

(because you do not live long without a gun)
This poll is biased.
Dead people (who don't own a gun) cannot vote.
