If you think about Paladin in wow what is the first thing you think?

    Arthas or Uther or Tirion.

Not random belf or dwarf or Tauren or Draenei o lul Zandalari.

Because in the WoW universe the Paladin come from Alliance side.

    Same with Shamans.

If I try to imagine a Warrior-Priest devoted to Gods I think to an Aztec Warrior and ofc Zandalari fits is perfectly.
Not the Paladin that we know in Warcraft.

We need to rework the Class-Race customization.
Yea blood knights are so devoted to the light lmao. They just stole a light battery and abused it.

The Zandalari use the power of a light loa = Zandalari Paladin. Literally same damn concept.

World of Warcraft is not Warhammer, and is not real life.

Tauren are also tribalistic, and have paladins.

Notice the lack of prelates while the Zandalari were assaulting the continent of Pandaria to get the body of the Thunder King. But we have them in their 'new land'.

Yes, NPCs can, and sometimes do have abilities that would deviate from the current player class template, but that does not mean said NPC is a complete new 'player class' altogether. The Zandalari Prelate NPC is a very possible 'seed' to allow zandalari to be paladins. The Prelate behaves like a paladin, and have abilities very similar to paladin abilities, too.
    1. NO IT ISNT.
    2. Warcraft was based on Warhammer early so why not.
    3. Sunwalker infact makes no sense as Paladin, also people seems to not play them as paladin guess why.
    4. Dunno what means the fact that if you don't see them before....
    5. "Behaves" no proof and 3 similar spell aren't a valid proof

    Going in circles.

    Absolutely not.

Also "devoted" and " they stole a light battery " in the same sentence describing a Paladin omegalul

Uh yea that's exactly what the most popular Paladin race in the game did. Just sucked off a naaru and suddenly Paladins.

Can you guys move to a Zandalari Paladins thread instead? Thanks.

What concerns me the most is that they cannot be priests? What? The literal racial leader of the Dark Iron Dwarves is a priestess, how does it make ANY sense for them to not be able to be priests?

It would also be kinda weird for them to not be able to be shamans. They seem to be living in harmony with the elements in Blackrock Mountain, IDK how that is possible without at least SOME knowledge of shamanism. I guess it's possible that they're avoiding it cause it would be weird for a Dark Iron Dwarf, that is all about "the fire" to be a Resto shaman, using water etc, but then again, we have holy undead priests so..

Dat isn't a Paladin like alliance paladin that is a Blood Knight and it is fine but calling it paladin like alliance one is pretty meh.

Also belf paladin were made to looks edgy for horde teen and even in game you had some spell that reflect that aspect.

But then all paladin were made all =

That why is ridiculous to think that all paladin are the same concept of paladin.

Don't some of them have elemental pets in Blackrock Depths? It would make sense to me too in any case.

Moira is a Bronzebeard not a Dark Iron.

Wasn't there a quest in Cataclysm where a goblin shaman didn't ask or enslave, but negotiated a contract with one and beat another into submission (with the player's help)?

I'm on the fence when it comes to DI shamans.

They do deal with the elements but is it a relationship like a shaman, based on mutual trust (whether that trust is later abused is something else) or one of one controlling the other, like mages and water elementals? I'm not sure. The former is required for shamans, no matter how things get bent down the line.

Then prove it. Saying "no, it isn't" is not you proving it.

    2. Warcraft was based on Warhammer early so why not.
And yet it went its own separate path. World of Warcraft is not Warhammer.

    3. Sunwalker infact makes no sense as Paladin, also people seems to not play them as paladin guess why.
Many would disagree with you, there.

    4. Dunno what means the fact that if you don't see them before....
During MoP, the Zandalari are in search a new land to call their own, since the Cataclysm badly affected their home isles. Makes sense for their paladins to be among the troops dispatched.

    5. "Behaves" no proof and 3 similar spell aren't a valid proof
So two concepts behaving exactly the same aren't 'valid proof', but "Warcraft was once, way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in pre-alpha development of Warcraft 1, based on Warhammer" is 'somehow proof' of your claims? Also, four abilities out of five, not just three.

Jesus christ the zandalari paladin activists are crazy.. "OMG A TOPIC THAT IS NOT ABOUT US! WE HAS TO MAKE IT ABOUT US!" idiots...

Dark Iron Shamans? Would be cool!

This, so much. People here talking about polytheism and how Dark Irons couldn't possibly be attuned to the elements... wtf?

It's like people forget this is a fictional world that doesn't have laws and boundaries. If they can make a cow sentient, walk on two feet, and cast Holy healing spells... I'm pretty fucking sure anything is possible. People just need to get over their opinions and understand that if Blizzard wants to do it, they'll do it. And if you don't like what they do, then you can just stfu about it. But there's no point in trying to convince each other of what is and isn't possible.

It's all just headcanon. No matter what reason you've come up with to justify or shun why or how a Zandalari Paladin or Dark Iron Shaman can/can't exist. Even if Chronicle says is can't happen, there's always a retcon. Nothing is set in stone.

Just chill and quit arguing with each other. No one's going to convince anyone of anything.

Sure, try to "enslave" elementals when their elemental lord could blast the whole mountain in an instant

Moira's official title is Thaurissan, not Bronzebeard. She's the Empress of the Dark Irons and the Dark Iron representative of the Council of Three Hammers. That's like having Void Elves not be able to be hunters, or Lightforged Draenei paladins. It's silly, I'm sure there's a mistake in the Early Release.

Nice but she is born as Bronzebeard.

The fact that Thaurassian fucked her doesn't mean he changed her genes.
Void Elves are Blood Elves hence any Belf combination can shift to Void beside Paladin.

Said that the fact that Moira isn't a Dark Iron doesn't mean Dark Iron can't be priest there are other Dark Iron Priest, there wasn't one helping the Priest while recovering the Knaifu?

Yeah I know it sounds ridicolous, but since the Tauren are pledging to the sun, the sun is the direct source of their holy power. Maybe one day Blizzard will revamp certain classes so they fit more to their own races. But Tauren Paladin were created in a completely different game developer team like WoW has today. People come and go and so will ideas and concepts of the game.
