TV, newspapers, internet, phone, printing shops, paper and ink shops, even buildings themselves are private in the USA.

We also have roads, parks, and universities that are public. I'm sure you've complained about people protesting on them.

To me all the Abrahamic religions are radical and authoritarian. No better than some of the hateful ideologies that have risen in this world.

BLM is a black organized movement, and while they also protest against the brutality white people face from the police (Which blue lives and all lives matter never do for some curious reason), it is deeply informed by the racial injustice, profiling and brutality black people experience. So yeah, centering the protest on black organizers and making their voices heard for once is good. If you were an actual ally and would not only think of how things make yourself feel you'd get that. I know that you have a hard time understanding that minorities are more severely affected by discrimination and have unique perspectives but seriously dude. Have some introspection and try for once thinking from the perspective of other people.

I do oppose police brutality, I don't care who they are doing it against. BLM specifically called for ending body cameras, meaning they wanted less transparency. The government has no place racially profiling. I can agree with something someone says, and still oppose their organization as a whole. Hell, I was told by a BLM member that I had no justification to talk about black-on-black crime in Baltimore, because I'm white.

No, it's a real issue in cities like Baltimore, and should be addressed. If you want to get pissed about someone talking about crime, then don't expect people to listen to you when you want to talk about crime.

As for BLM, there are plenty of examples, I simply brought up two. Now, if BLM were to completely disassociate with that element, and boot them out, then I will reconsider. Let me know when that happens.

‘It’s always the right policy decision to reject organized hatred’

Atomwaffen Division, The Right Server, Nordic Resistance Movement, Iron March and European Domas are just some of the servers that were shut down recently as part of Discord’s attempt to purge its platform of hateful content.

“Discord has a Terms of Service (ToS) and Community Guidelines that we ask all of our communities and users to adhere to,” a Discord representative told Polygon. “These specifically prohibit harassment, threatening messages, or calls to violence. Though we do not read people’s private messages, we do investigate and take immediate appropriate action against any reported ToS violation by a server or user. There were a handful of servers that violated these ToS recently and were swiftly removed from the platform.”

A representative from Discord didn’t tell Polygon when the purge first started, but Discord users noted the disappearance of notable servers over the past couple of days. A thread on the Discord subreddit acknowledging the servers’ disappearance was locked by a Discord staff member. Each of the servers affected — TRS, Atomwaffen, Nordic Resistance Movement, Uncesnsored politics , Ironmarch, Pagan Pathway, European Domus and Fashlash — are known for curating content that promotes hateful ideologies and pro-Nazism. Atomwaffen Division, for example, is labeled as a designated hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

“Atomwaffen Division (AWD) is a terroristic national socialist organization that formed out of Iron March, an influential fascist forum that went offline in September 2017,” a description by the Center reads. “Members, who can be fairly described as accelerationists, believe that violence, depravity and degeneracy are the only sure way to establish order in their dystopian and apocalyptic vision of the world.”

Discord and the Southern Poverty Law Center are working together to try and rid the platform of hateful groups, a Discord representative said. The purge comes at a time when the Center is asking other platforms like YouTube to take a tougher stance on the platform that appears on its side. Atomwaffen Division’s presence on YouTube has come under scrutiny recently, with YouTube announcing today that it will ban content from active users who identify as Atomwaffen Division members.

And borders are authoritarian by nature, but they are nevertheless needed.

So, then it boils down to how authoritarian you want to get. Are you going to limit immigration, because someone happens to be a Muslim, or from a country that is mostly Muslim?

I was merely seeking clarification. You said the west was at war with Islam, and I wanted to know what you were willing to support in fighting that war. For a great many people, that means restricting the freedoms of Muslims, either by bans on garb, limits to their immigration, or monitoring and profiling of Muslim citizens.
